This is a typed version of the Last Will and Testament of James Wylie done during the Depression by the WPA (I think it was). The transciber's spellings were retained.

Margaret Wiley b.1762 came from Ireland also and her parents were James Wiley & Sarah Campbell of Chester District. John Dick came to US in 1775 from Ireland also, His parents were William James Dick. b. 1696. Belfast. and Margaret Mcquillan. b. 1705. County Colerain, Ireland.

James may have had two wives each named Sarah. The first may have been Sarah McKinney and the second may have been Sarah Campbell(?).

Children were three daughters:
Rebeca Adams
Margaret Dick
Mary McAlilly

In the Name of God Amen

I James Wylie of Chester District mad State of South Carolina being weak of Body but sound of Mind and memory thanks to Almighty God for the Same Remembering the mortality of my Body and that it is appointed for all men Once to die and after that the Judgment do make and solemnly ordain this as my last Will and Testament Disanuling and rendering Void all other Wills and Testaments appertaining to me-Vis----In the first place I bequeath my Soul to God who gave it and my body to the dust to be Intered in decent Christian buriel not doubting but the Same will be raised and reunited to My Soul by the Almighty power of God at the General Resurection and I hope Stand at the right hand of Christ---And in the second place as touching such worldly Matters as God in his devine providence hath endowed me with I leave and bequeath the Same in the way and Manner following Viz----I leave and bequeath to my Well beloved Daughter Rebeca Adams three Dollars, to my well beloved Daughter Margaret Dick three Dollars and I leave and bequeath to my well beloved Daughter Mary McAlilly all the remainder of
Estate or property Appertaining in any wise to me After paying all my lawful debts, and paying whatsoever expence and trouble may yet ensue to her and her family on my account in the way of taking care of me whilst Continued in the land. of the living and paying for funeral Charges and I do hereby Ordain and apoint My friends John Mills and William White as My Executors to see to the due performance of this my last Will and Testament to the revocation of all others -In Witness whereof I hereunto Set too my hand and Seal this eighth day of April in the Year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and Six-
