I, Geo. D. Florence, a Court Examiner of Lincoln County Kentucky, whose residence and post office address is Stanford Kentucky herby certify that Mary E. Rigney,widow of Aden J. Rigney this May presented to him a Bible, bearing the name of Aden J. Rigney and upon examination I find that the Bible was printed by the American Bible Society in the year 1867; I further certify that the family record in said Bible shows other things the following:
"Aden Rigney was born March 28, 1845"
and married November (one) 1868(?)
"Amanda Smith was born December 4th, 1844"
I further certify that there was presented to me accompanying said Bible a memorial card, which in so far as applicable to this case bearsthe following record.
"In loving rememberance of Dear Ones
"Amanda Rigney died December 16, 1871, aged 27Y 12 days"
I further certify these records bear no marks or erasures or alteration and from their general appearance convince me that they are genuine.
I further certify that I am 38 yeas of age and was born and raised in Lincoln County, Kentucky and have known Aden J. Rigney and his widow Mary E. Rigney, for the past twenty five years, and I know of my own personal knowledge that during all of this time they have lived together in this county, and most of thime within ( )
and that they were recognized as husband and wife, and were together without any divorce at the time of his death.
