The World In A Mirror
©2000 Fall Poet Kay
The world in a mirror is filled with good.
The world in a mirror looks just like it should.
There is smiles, and laughter, and joyfulness all around.
It's all like a beautiful, musical sound.
The world in a mirror is different in a special way.
The world glows with happiness day by day.
The world in a mirror is wanting us to care.
With all the love that is filled in your heart,
let the world in a mirror come through, don't
rip it apart.
* Snow White's Fate *

Snow White, so pure and lovely was she.
She was the fairest in the land, but her
Step Mother went in a rage of jealousy.
Everything was perfect until Snow White
came along. The step mother was about
to do what was dreadfully wrong.
She posed as an old woman and went to Snow White.
Snow White trusted this old woman, she gave her no fright.
The woman gave her an apple, the prettiest in her bunch.
You see Snow White was hungry and hadn't had time for lunch.
The old woman insisted that she take a bite.
She did and went fast to sleep, never to arise.
Not another word from her was said.
A prince come through the forest riding
upon his horse, he dismounted and saw
little men in remorse.
* Why are you so sad? * he asked the little men.
* Why our poor Snow White had died, she lies there in the glass.
A beautiful casket we made for her
it is our finest, yet saddest work. *
* I'm so sorry dear friend, but may I ask how she
passed away? *
* She died from eating a poisoned apple, and now
for us, our sunny days have now grayed. *
The prince walked past the poor, sad, morning men and
went toward the glass.
There lied inside the fairest maiden he had ever seen, his
heart began beating fast.
He knelt down by her lifeless body and looked upon her face.
He took the glass cover off of her, and on her motionless
lips was a kiss he placed.
Soon he too was crying, how he wished he had known of her, he
would have taken her to be his bride.
And as all the men were sobbing, Snow White came back to life.
She yawned, and stretched, and smiled and saw them all
crying, and as she did she began sighing.
* What ever are you crying for? * she said in a sad voice.
* Our Snow White has gone to heaven. We have not a
reason to be happy and rejoice. *
* But she stands before you now, alive! * she said,
while laughing, and no more did the men cry.
Snow White and the prince got to know each other
and soon they were wed.
Now it's off with you dear child, for now it's time for bed.
Happily ever after they are, and forever they will be.
For this is the end of this sweet poem, there is no more to read.
