Dreams

Silent starry summer nights, so welcome, warm, and full of grace...
exert a draw on weary souls and pull them to a strange new place...
where smell of pine becomes a call to throw off bonds imposed by man...
surrendering instead to echoed, haunting moonlit lands.
Down pathways paved with muted mosses, in awe I walk these sacred ways...
awash in dancing shafts of warm white silvery moonlight rays...
amid a lush and vibrant patchwork of a thousand subtle shades of green...
I walk the hazy, unsure lands locked deep within my fondest dreams.
Love Online

I want to scream...
I see her there, a thousand miles and more away and close enough to love.
Here, yet not here, she beckons to my heart and soul with words so sweet.
A voice on the phone, some printed words... its all I have, you see
Yet she is real, so real to me, although we cannot touch for now...
no gentle stroke of hair, no embrace, no whispered words for me alone to
hear.
no soft and smiling eyes, no warm moist breath, no walking hand in hand
yet she is real to me, she has to be... its all I have, you see
frustration born of circumstance, torture by long distance love...
I want to scream

Rain
©2001 by Earthbow
It rained today...
each drop a tiny voice that sang the joys of newfound growth...
renewal from above, it washed away the fears and tears of darker days.
And, as I paused from my work to drink in this subtle summer song...
I couldn't help but wonder how such a simple thing as rain...
could usher in such hope
