THE DEKU MASK
When Link dons the Deku Mask, he transforms into a nameless Deku Scrub. The Deku Scrub is very handy due to his ability to hop over poisoned water and to fly short distances by using Deku Flowers.
The Deku Scrub can also shoot bubbles from its snout or use a powerful spin attack to take out enemies. Instead of an Ocarina, the Deku Scrub uses a huge set of horns to blast out a powerful tune.
As a Deku Scrub, Link has difficulty climbing certain ledges and is also vulnerable to fire-based attacks.
THE GORON MASK
When wearing the Goron Mask, Link takes over the body of a Goron hero named Darmani. This bongo-playing bruiser is a big lug, but his powerful punch allows him to crash through certain walls and barriers.
Darmani can unleash a Termina-shattering ground pound, or roll up into a ball to quickly speed across large distances. The major weakness of Darmani is his inability to swim. If you step foot into the water while wearing the Goron Mask, you'll sink like you've got rocks in your gut (which in this case, you probably do).
THE ZORA MASK
When Link pulls out the Zora Mask, he enters the body of a Zoran guitarist named Mikau. Mikau is the most athletic of Link's alter egos, which he demonstrates by jumping long distances and swimming like a speedy dolphin.
Mikau can use his arm fins as boomerangs, and he can also produce a magical force field either on land or underwater. Mikau's only weakness is fire. Like the Deku Scrub, hot flames mean instant doom.
THE GREAT FAIRYS MASK
If you help the Great Fairy to reassemble her shattered body in North Clock Town, she'll reward you with this Mask. The hair of the Great Fairy Mask will start to shimmer if a Stray Fairy is nearby, and if the Stray is not locked up it will fly right toward you.
THE BREMEN MASK
Guru-Guru the organ grinder will give you this Mask if you visit him at the Clock Town Laundry Pool during the night of Day 1 or Day 2. When wearing this Mask, you can lead around small animals while pressing and holding the B Button.
THE BUNNY HOOD MASK
Guru-Guru the organ grinder will give you this Mask if you visit him at the Clock Town Laundry Pool during the night of Day 1 or Day 2. When wearing this Mask, you can lead around small animals while pressing and holding the B Button.
THE KAMAROS MASK
Go to the mushroom-shaped rock in north Termina Field any evening between midnight and 6:00 a.m. If you're lucky enough to spot the ghost dancer Kamaro, play the Song of Healing to inspire him to give you his Mask. Wear Kamaro's Mask when you feel like dancing. |
