Sarah Ann was the second child of William Thomas and Mary Ann Gamel. Born 1838 in Yorksville, Paulding County, Georgia. She was the first child to be born in her parents new home. Sarah died 1904/05 in the same house she was born in. She is buried by her parents in the Yorksville Cemetery. No marker is at her grave. Only a slab of cement for a headstone. There are no dates on the stone.
Sarah married Joseph B. Thompson on 8/26/1855 in Dallas, Georgia. Joseph died of wounds he recieved in the Civil War in 1865? Joseph and Sarah were the parents of 4 children.
They lived with their mother in their grandparents home until they were grown.
