Charley C. Gamel was the sixth child of William Thomas and Mary Ann Gamel.
Charley was born 8/24/1847 in Yorksville,Georgia; died 8/13/1928 in Pallemento,Alabama. He is buried in the Ramah Cemetery in the North edge of Pallemento, Georgia between his 2nd and 3rd wife. Charley was a private in the Co.-C of Georgia in the Civil war. He was married 3 times. His first wife was Nancy Long. She died less than one year after her marriage to Charley. They had no children.
Charley 2nd wife was Mary Frances Adair. Mary was born 3/22/1849; died 6/14/1901 and buried in Pallemento,Ga. They married on December 15, 1870 by W.H. Adair, Justice of the Peace in Dallas, Georgia. Mary is the mother of all nine of his children.
His third wife was Sarah A. Brown born 5/30/1862 in Ga.; died 2/10/1922 in Georgia. She is also buried in Pallemento, Ga.

Robert Gamel was born in 1871 in Dallas, Georgia; died 1939 in Perryton, Texas. He married Mary Ashcroft in Denton, Tx. Mary was born 1876 in Tx.; died 1950 in Perryton, Texas.
Robert served several years as a night watchman and Marshall of Perryton.

Walter was born 8/8/1873 in Dallas, Georgia; died 10/25/1907 in Pallemento, Georgia. Walter is buried at Ramah Baptist Cemetery in Pallemento, Ga. He married Nellie ? born 1889 in Georgia; died 1922. Nellie is buried beside her husband. Walter and Nellie may have a son named Carl Gamel. There is no further information on their children.

Lucious Harvey Gamel was born in 1875/1876 near Dallas, Georgia; died ? He married Leona Daisy Hooper in Dallas, Georgia.

1. Charley Thomas Gamel born 9/9/1897 in Dallas, Ga.; died 1/31/1972 in Stratford, Texas. He never married. Charley Thomas left home at the age of 15 and went to Denton, Texas.
He lived with his brother Carl Gamel. He only returned back home home once to attend his mother's funeral. Returned to Texas where he worked as a ranch and farm hand. He lost all track of his family until he passed away in 1972 in Stratford, Texas.

Alma was born 2/16/1886 in Georgia; died 2/11/1962 in Shelby, Alabama. They are buried in the Fairview Baptist Cemetery near Leeds, Alabama. They were farmers.

Carl Winiford was the ninth child of Charley C. and Mary (Adair) Gamel. He was born 11/3/1891 in Dallas, Georgia; died 3/25/1948 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. He left home at age 13 and went to Denton, Texas where his brother was living (Robert Gamel). Carl fought in W.W.II in The Texas Wagons Engrs. 36 Division. He married Myrtle Markham 2/5/1920 in Krum,Denton County,Texas. Later they moved to Oklahoma where he worked at Will Rogers Airport until his death.
