The third child of William and Mary Ann Gamel. Barbara Ann was born in 1841 in Yorksville, Georgia and died in 1932/33.
Barbara is buried in the Bethel Methodist Cemetery in Hiram, Georgia. There is no headstone at her grave.
Barbara married Joseph Motes. Joseph died in the Civil War. He was killed in Louisana.
Joseph and Barbara had one son named Robert Motes.
After Joseph's death Barbara and her son returned to Hiram, Georgia where they lived the rest of their lives.
Robert worked for the railroad. He never married. Robert died a few years after his mother did; with whom he lived with. He is buried beside his mother. No headstone, only a slab of rock, no name on it. It is in the Marlow family Cemetery plot in Hiram, Georgia.
