Final Fantasy VI Advance Hint - Gilgamesh Esper
To have Gilgamish as an Esper in the World of Ruin, accumulate 500,000 gil, go to the Jidoor auction. The auctioneer will display a sword called Excalipoor and you must keep bidding until 500,000 gil (it will take a few or many more revisits until the auctioneer actually display the item for bid).

After buying the weapon go to Dragon's Neck Coliseum, located north from Kohlingen. Go straight to the guy who asks if you care to fight in the coliseum, in which obviously you should say yes. He will asks what weapon you would bet on and that's where the Excalipoor comes in. Bet the weapon, choose your fighter and your first opponent is an Onion Mage.

After winning the match, a mysterious character threatens to take away the item. That is Gilgamish. The mid 40s is a good level to muscle through. Have Sabin in your party to throw in the Phantom/Bum Rush followed by Gogo's mimic to duplicate Sabin's attack.

Defeat Gilgamish, you will rewarded a relic item called Merit award, an item which lets the wearer equip any weapons and armors, and the esper: Gilgamish. The spells to learn from Gilgamish are Quick and Valor.

OTHER CHEATS

Double MP!
To receive double MP in Final Fantasy VI Advance, you must equip Celes with a Cursed Shield. When she absorbs a spell with the runic, you'll get double the MP.

Floating Continent Secret!
As the world is ending while on the floating continent and the timer reads six minutes. Get to the edge of the continent and instead of jumping off, wait until there are only five seconds left on the timer, and then Shadow will appear! Shadow will join you if you do this and you can jump down with him (normally, Shadow dies).

Make Cyan Go Psycho!
During a battle, use retort with Cyan and then cast imp on him. Use an attack that doesn't set off retort, but still kills him. Bring him back to life and then make a character use the fight attack. Cyan will start attacking like crazy if you do this correctly, beating the hell out of enemies until they are all dead.

Kill Bosses Instantly!
Want to destroy enemies/bosses in FFVI Advance instantly? To do so, cast the vanish spell, and then cast the doom spell. This trick will work almost 100% of the time.

Get Tons of Items!
To get a buttload of items in FFVI Advance, first cast vanish on an enemy, follow it with the relm spell, and then run away. If you escape the battle quickly enough, you will receive a lot of items.
