Wings
Wings started out as a demo that the Crawfish development team had been working on for the Game Boy Advance. No longer! Cinemaware has enlisted the help of Crawfish Interactive to bring one of its classic Amiga games to the GBA - a rip-roaring, German butt-kicking, quasi-3D WWI flight/combat game!
What's that you say? "I've played this game before!" Then you should be happy that soon you can play this on a handheld. The Game Boy version will be very simlar to the Amiga release. You control an Allied fighter pilot during World War I. You get to play more than 230 missions, bombing Germans, dodging enemies, and fighting arrogant enemy pilots (well, maybe arrogant). As you beat levels, you are promoted accordingly. This game should take anyone quite a while to finish.
The graphics are quite purty. They remind me of the Army Men series - clear, colorful, and simple enough that there's no darn lag! The game is only 1 player (d'oh!), but at least we're assured a US release, probably shortly after the launch. Put it on your BUY list!
