| UPDATED SEPTEMBER 11: OH MY GOD, THEY'RE PLAYING OUT AGAIN. Yes, boys and girls, it looks like Phase II of the Gadgets Plan for World Domination will begin a bit sooner than we expected. In other words, we've got shows to tell you about! Here are the current dates : OCT. 3 : the Coffee Table, Albany, GA OCT. 10 : Train Depot, Albany, GA (with Black Belt Jones) OCT. 24 : Athens Brewing Co., Athens, GA (Ultra Sounds of Music Benefit Festival) Remember, all dates are tentative, so don't make fun of us if the shows change dates or disappear altogether. It's not like we're on a "national tour" or anything. Oh, our resident HTML expert is looking to redesign the website pretty soon (and move it to a different, less cheesy server-sorry, Maxpages), so anyone with an idea for an underlying theme E-mail us. Gay porn is not an option. Winners receive... a sincere thank you for not making us think up anything on our own. And naked pictures of Russian boys. Get to work. Oh, yeah, Josh got a new tattoo. It rocks. Is that newsworthy? UPDATED AUGUST 14: Bumper stickers should be here in a couple of weeks, single should be out before 1999 (Yeah, well, take it or leave it), and any bands from a certain South Georgia town who might want to play a show with a certain rawk band at a certain locomotive depot in late September/early October, e-mail us. Consider yourselves updated. UPDATED JULY 14: DID WE SAY AUGUST? WISHFUL THINKING. FROM NOW ON JUST ADD A COUPLE OF MONTHS TO ANY TENTATIVE DATE WE SET, AS IT NOW LOOKS LIKE THE SINGLE COULD BE OUT IN OCTOBER. SO SUE US. OUR SPIFFY NEW BUMPER STICKERS SHOULD BE AVAILABLE ABOUT A MONTH AGO, TOO. JUNE 3: Yes, we finally have news to report! Did someone say "new release" ? That's right, the follow-up to our 1997 CD NOT FUNNY HA-HA will come in the form of a two-song 7" single that should be out in August. Details are still sketchy, but here's what we know so far: 1) The single will feature two songs recorded by Asa Leffer of Wunderkind last year and mixed by Andy Baker 2) It is a vinyl-only release; and 3) It will rock. We'll let you know more as soon as we find out more. Also, be sure to check our merchandise page in the coming weeks, as we should be adding a couple of items (stickers, t-shirts) to the "list of booty" soon. |
