THE NIGHT'S GIFT It is a beautiful moonlit evening... Upon stepping outside I noticed the way the moon glittered off the water. It was as though the moon was saying, "Join me as I open hearts and eyes for all to see and feel the beauty of this night." This night is what dreams are made of. The river is as smooth as glass, the moon is as the eyes of young lovers meeting for the first time. Their eyes sparkling with the anticipation of a romantic experience. As they gaze into each others eyes, love overflows their hearts and their minds begin to wander to a place few people dare to venture. Is this an experience of the heart, the mind or a spell caused by the beauty of the moonlit night? The truth being, none of these can exist without the other, for the illusion of Love is created by the moment, and the moment by God. God's eternal love is so simple to experience, yet we find it difficult to accept. Is it no wonder we cannot find happiness in our own chosen love. When we cannot accept what is free for the asking, how will we understand what we have to work for? Perhaps we do not know the true meaning of love or how beautiful it really is. Maybe, just maybe that is why God gave us this beautiful moonlit night? Just to remind us! Sometimes we look past the simple things, looking to the difficult things we do not understand. Why do we tend to make everything more difficult than it is? We lead with our hearts and our minds become confused. Let us open our eyes so that our minds can see what our hearts feel. For it is so simple when all our body senses work as one. Then we can achieve that Love that only God has expressed, Love eternal. Isn't this what we all desire and search for, and it's so simple?
