OVERCOMING

If we walk through life, overcome with bitterness, perhaps it is because we don’t understand lifes true concepts. It is true that the bitterness is real and it was placed in our life and is near impossible to extinguish... No one will deny this or try to convince you otherwise. What must be said and instilled in our minds is that God has given us ways to overcome such adversities. Perhaps we are looking for something special or big to grasp our attention, when it is the little things in life that leave a lasting impression...

When our problems become overwhelming and too large for us to handle, we should take the time to look to the stars in all their splendor. They show us that no matter how big our problems may seem, they are nothing as compared to the size of the universe. Once we realize we are but a mere speck in comparison, then our problems will seem minute. This alone can give us temporary relief.

Take a walk in the forest and feel the awesome power of God. We are sheltered by the trees that tower high above us. The sun shines down between the branches with great warmth and comfort... The animals around us feel secure and cared for as should we. It is so simple to become lost in all this splendor for it is so simple and pure, just another way of escaping from life's treacheries ...

Then we should take a good look around us, looking at the things we take for granted. The simple things, such as fields or meadows, for they give us such beauty, strength and peace of mind...The wild flowers grow without a care, the birds find sanctuary in their midst, everything is so simple and carefree there. It is so easy to become lost in the simplicity of life. It is there for us to enjoy and to savor but we become blinded buy own grief.

Perhaps we are our own worst enemies, shutting out the simple things that can give us hope and happiness, allowing the bitterness a chance to overpower us. If this is what has happened in your life. it's time to stop and smell the Roses. Open you eyes so that your mind can see the simple things God has provided, and your heart will be filled with hope instead of bitterness... Perhaps it is just too simple for most to understand. or perhaps they prefer to thrive on bitterness...These things are there for all to endure and comprehend. The simplicity of life and happiness is all around us for all to enjoy and at no cost, just open your eyes and look around, for it's free, and for the taking.
