| Life is Like a Stew Each day of our life we experience thing that will change or alter the way we think and feel about ourselves and others.We become overwhelmed by the multitudes of new ideas and the abundance of knowledge we consume each day. We wonder if it will change us to the point we won’t recognize ourselves. To often we go through life confused an upset with who we are and what we have become. We look at our life with such complexities and set standards for ourself that bring us to the point of confusion. We wonder what we will become and will we be able to endure with what life deals us. When in fact if life is taken in the right perspective it’s not only simple but predictable and most enjoyable. To often we look beyond the present moment with doubt and confusion, contemplating changes that may occur and how to deal with them. instead of worrying about the future we should understand the present. A simple analogy will bring our life into the right perspective. Life is like a stew. Every day we add new ingredients but it still remains a stew. The flavor may change or the consistency of the pot but the final outcome is still the same, it is still a stew. Our life is much the same as the stew. Each day we meet different people with new ideas, standards and Ideals and we add them to our life. We adapt some of them into our own life and let others pass or even pass them on to others. Tomorrow we may change the way we think and feel but the result is still the same, It is still us. We have broadened our mind, by sharing thoughts , feelings , words , emotions and much more. We have given our life a better base but we are still our own person.Through the understanding that we are still the same person and by adding all these new ingredients we have improved the quality of our life. The only question we must ask ourselves is do we like the person we have become. If the answer is yes ,the stew is fine and we have done well! If the answer is No! then we must except who we are and add more ingredients until the stew is fine and acceptable to our taste.
