Fatherhood
Strenght and Stability

Too often in life we are concerned with , what came first the chicken or the egg.In the conception of offspring the same question often comes to bare. Some say the seed started with the father and others insist it was the mothers. The truth of the matter is that the power of conception came from God and was to be shared equally by both parent. It is without doubt the most beautiful event that can take place between male and female. It is derives from the love of two people toward each other, wanting to share a bond that will unite both into one. Each of them gave up a special part of themselves which when united together formed a new life. A new human being with its own traits and distinctions.

To often in life people make the father take the back seat to the credits of having offspring. This misconception takes place because everyone feels the mother endures the pain of caring the child inside her womb for nine months or until birth takes place. Although she does deserve special consideration for her part it took both parents to arrive at that point.

The fact is both are equally responsible because a child could not be conceived without a seed from both. After the child is born, both have an equal and important responsibility in the child’s life. They must both nurture the child though the early years, each in their own way. Neither parent should dominate over the other but share equal the learning process.

The mother usually takes them through infancy because of her maternal instincts. She must teach the child love ,compassion and much more. As the child matures the father must teach them different values such as, strength, courage and other things. The child’s life is should always be a balance between the male and the female. The parents should show them that although men and woman are different and handle things differently, the out come is always for the benefit of the child.

If the child is a female, the fathers responsibility is to teach the daughter how to find strength in men by being a good example. The way he treats his own family will give insight to the daughter on what family life should be like. Hopefully when it is her turn to find a mate, she will look for the good qualities she saw in her father example.

If it is a son, the father must teach them how to deal with life, pertaining to raising a family and general male responsibilities. Life should be built on the family principles and must be strong like a rock. A father must not only teach his son respect toward woman but must set a good example.

The father must be the provider and instill these values on his children. He must be firm but at the same time be understanding He must show emotion and compassion at the proper time and none in a time where strength is needed. One thing a father must never forget is that he was young once . He must also realize that each child is a individual and one of a kind. Fatherhood is by no means a easy task and must never be taken lightly.

As a father, when a difficult situation arises and we are not certain how it should be addressed, we should turn to the Lord for guidance. He will aid the father in making the right decision spiritually with love and feelings from the heart. Then he will know it will never be the wrong one.

Sleep well my friend wherever you may be.
