Dear Grandpa,
I am writing you a very special birthday letter. A letter, a present, a piece
of my heart. That is my present to you.
Do you remember the summers...
I was there and we watched the Lawrence Welch Show together...I do.
Do you remember...
When you taught me how to scrap the old paint off your house, on the ground and
on the roof climbing out the bedroom window...I do.
Do you remember...
When you and Grandma would take me to Dairy Queen and I would get the Peanut
Buster Parfait...I do.
Do you remember...
When you took me to Hardees and you taught me the small fry had the same amount
as the large fry...I do.
Do you remember...
Taking rides in your wonderful car to see the little peoples house and the story
you told...I do.
Do you remember...
Sitting on your porch and just visiting after you came home from work at
night...I do.
Do you remember?
Well I do, and I will forever. For you have imprinted so many
wonderful memories in my heart. And no one will ever be able to take them away.
They are mine...and thoughs are the most precious presents anyone could give
another. So, I give them back to you so we can both feel the warmth of the
memories together...forever
I love you grandpa
and thank you for all
my life's memories and
for though's to
come.
Happy Birthday
