David Schwimmer was born November 2, 1966 in Astoria, Queens, New York. This date is also his mothers birthday. He graduated from North Western University. His first big acting job was being on The Wonder Years(1991-1992). Before making it on Friends David and his high-school friend competed for a role in a TV show called "Couples." His friend beat him out for the role. The show must have sucked because it turned out that ABC didn't want the show. The producers later changed the show to be about 6 single people and sold it to NBC as "Friends." David Scwimmer was the first actor to be cast and he will always be known as Ross Geller.
You've seen him in movies such as; Kissing a Fool, Six Days Seven Nights,The Pallbearer, and It's The Rage (to find reviews of some of these movies go to our Movie Reviews). He's been dating actress Mili Avital since 1998. They met on the movie Kissing a Fool. David is still on Friends, but that will be coming to an end at the end of next year. 10 years is a long time, it's good they even stayed around that long. David has been seen in several plays and is now set to direct and produce a new show on NBC, after Friends ends.
