Newark Tower is contacted on 118.3 MHz, plane is directed onto taxiways.
Ground Control is contacted on 121.8 MHz, plane is directed to terminal.

Clearance Delivery is contacted on 118.85 MHz, instructions are given to pilot.
Ground Control is contacted on 121.8 MHz, plane is directed towards runways.
Newark Tower is contacted on 118.3 MHz, plane is guided onto runway and given takeoff clearance.
NY Departures is contacted on 119.2 MHz, plane is guided away from immediate area.
NY Departures is contacted on secondary channel, plane is guided towards destination.
The seperately-listed secondary channels change often, in no pattern recognized by the author. Listed are ones that have been used in the recent past, and possibly currently. The departure frequencies can easily be gained by monitoring the primary departure channel and wait for the controller to direct a plane over to xxx.xx . Arriving planes are most easily picked up on the final approach channel.

In addition to Port Authority Police/Fire, Newark Airport is served by the Newark (154.13) and Elizabeth Fire Departments, and Newark EMS (205 or 215 alerted on 155.295, comm on 155.4). NorthSTAR MedEvac is also alerted on 155.295, and operates as Lifeguard 3GP.
