Metro Fire Radio is a two-way radio system designed to keep members of the public safety and press fields in reliable communications with each other. Members are comprised of firefighters, EMT's, paramedics, photographers, press agencies, communication centers, police officers, and public safety radio enthusiasts.
The radio system is designed to utilize U.H.F. (450mhz-470mhz) radios to communicate through several repeater systems (to increase signal strength), throughout the N.J., N.Y. Metropolitan area.
Members report fires, accidents, non-compromising police events of major news interest, and other major news events over the radio system. In addition, most members who join, utilize the system to stay in contact with other members.

NOTICE: Use of the Metro Fire Radio system without becoming an authorized member, or without being a member of an authorized reciprocity group, is a violation of N.J.S.A. 2C:20-8 "Theft of Services".
Theft of services is a disorderly persons offense.

A violation of this is code a Federal Violation. We have and WILL prosecute offenders accordingly.
