Atlantic County
------------------------------------------------------------
Atlantic County, of course, is located in Southeastern New Jersey. The largest city is Atlantic City. The county has a population of about 229,000 and is growing with our building boom. Our county seat is Mays Landing, right in the heart of the county. A number of things have changed on the scanning front here in Atlantic County. In Atlantic City, construction has begun on the massive Tunnel and Road project. Work on Mirage's new casino should begin soon. I hope to gather a list of frequencies concerning the companies involved. Stay tuned.
The county is based on districts. In most towns, all cars, fire stations, EMS squads, etc. are dispatched based on their District number. For example, Linwood is District 5. All police units are 5-xx, fire is paged as District F-5, and EMS is R-5. Anyway, here is all the info, from State Police Frequencies to County Districts and basic town frequencies.

2- Margate City

Now, I'll take you town by town and give you all sorts of info. For all towns, fire stations are dispatched by announcing either station 1 or 2, etc. In townships, see fire station notes. Stations will be dispatched by districts within a township. Atlantic County has a set of fire codes to use, but they are very rarely utilized, except occasionally in a mutual aid situation. The most common are 27, Ambulance, 28, a Fire, and 29, a motor vehicle accident. Most info is given out verbally, not in a code. Galloway uses the system for all police operations through the township. Fire is dispatched on County and the system, but most, if not all operations are done on the system. This piece of info should make everyone happy. Galloway simulcasts police dispatching, untrunked, on 866.7125. The Trunked system still has plenty of other info on it, but for those of you annoyed by the constant beeping and changing control channels, tune there. It's helpful.
Fire: 154.310 Main Dispatch (Also on trunked System)
154.355 Was the old Fireground Channel. Not in use as much.
A note on the Fire system in Galloway. It can get mighty confusing to those scanning for info on fires. Galloway can use both of those channels, as well as the trunked system during working situations. I monitor the trunked system as well as both county channels for Galloway.
154.145 Fire Tac. I haven't heard this one in a while, so I'm not so sure it is still on line.
EMS: 155.175 All operations. Some can be heard on the Trunked System.
