Card Captors (Or Card Captor Sakura, as its known in Japan) is the tale of 10 year old girl named Sakura Kinomoto and her magical quest to collect Clow Cards that have escaped from a magical book. The Cards have the ability to take different types of forms, and they have powers of thier own.
Unless Sakura captures all of the cards, a great catastrophe will strike. But, Sakura is not alone on her quest. At her side is the guardian of the cards, Kerberos (or Kero-chan) and Sakura's best friend, Tomoyo Daidouji .
Card Captors is broken down into two seasons, the Clow Cards Season and the Sakura Card Season. Hopefully, we'll be able to see all 3 come to America! It all depends upon how big CC is in the US.
Now...lets get into a little more detail...It all started 2 months after Sakura entered the 4th grade, Sakura was exploring in her father's library, when she found a mysterious book. After opening it, her days of collecting the Clow Cards began. Kero popped out of the book, and explained to Sakura how she needs to reclaim the Clow Cards and get them back into the book. But, it wouldn't be that easy. Each Clow Card has its own personality, shape, type, and power.
With Kero alongside of her and Tomoyo close behind, (filming all of the action and making spiffy new costumes for Sakura to wear, of course) all went well as they tried to recapture the remaining Clow Cards.
Other than friends, Sakura also has a family, Toya (her big brother) and Fujitaka (her father and most favorite person in the world). Sakura really loves her dad, but dosen't get along too well with her brother. Although, she does have a big crush on Toya's best friend, Yukito, who isn't all that he seems (You see, Yukito transforms into the demon Yue, Moon Guardian of the Clow).
This is just a bit of what Card Catpors is like. It seems really cool and interesting to me! Now that its out in the US, I hope it becomes really popular. I guess I can only wait and see
