RESPONSIBILITY OF EVERYONE:
Whether you are a parent, grandparent, brother, sister, guardian, relative, educator or concerned adults ... you have the responsibility to watch out for the safety and well being of every child. Children are not always capable of watching out for themselves, so it is our responsibility to look out for them.
There is no reason that every household and school in the country couldn't establish and enforce an effective safety program. We all need to open our eyes to what is happening around us.
Every child should have a positive household and family to wake up to each morning. Parents should take a genuine interest in their children's activites, and most important, listen to their children. Children need love and support, and the home is the best place for this to happen. Children should be taught to be assertive and to practice taking a PROACTIVE approach to staying safe. |
