2 cloves minced garlic
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon seasoning salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper
1/4 cup soy sauce
1 tablespoon hoisin sauce
2 teaspoons sugar
1 red or yellow green pepper, cut into strips
1/2 cup mushrooms
3/4 cup white or yellow onion, peeled and chopped
1/2 cup water chestnuts
1/2 cup unsalted peanuts
2 tablespoons corn starch
2 tablespoons water
1/2 cup bean sprouts, fresh
2 green onions, finely chopped

Trim any fat from the beef round steak and slice into thin strips. Combine the steak, minced garlic, salt, seasoning salt, pepper, soy sauce, hoisin sauce and sugar into a slow cooker. Cover and cook on LOW about 4 hours. Turn control to HIGH. Add bell peppers, mushrooms, white or yellow onions, water chestnuts and peanuts. Dissolve cornstarch in water in a small bowl, then stir into the steak mixture. Cover and cook another 15 minutes. Stir in bean sprouts. Sprinkle with green onions. Serve over rice.
