WELCOME!

Thank you for visiting A PARENT'S GUIDE TO KIDNAP PREVENTION. Everything a child, parent, grandparent, guardian or teacher would ever need to know to educate a child about kidnap prevention is in this website. It is being presented here in this fashion so that you can use it. It is our hope that perhaps the information contained in this website will someday help save a life ... or many lives!

NEW WEBSITE:

Please visit our new comprehensive website at www.valleyjujitsu.com.

OUR UNIQUE WEBSITE FEATURES:

SELF DEFENSE TECHNIQUES

Teach your child how to escape the hold on an abductor. Whether your child is being choked from the front or rear, or being grabbed, special self defense escaping techniques are now featured. The unique aspect of these techniques is that they use scientific principles, rather than strength to escape from an abductor. Check out our section heading SELF DEFENSE TECHNIQUES and teach your child how to defend themself. And yourself as well!

CHILD IDENTIFICATION KIT

Every parent should have a CHILD IDENTIFICATION KIT for each of their children. Check out our section heading CREATING A CHILD I.D. KIT. Follow the directions and create your own kit. All you will need is an 8.5 x 11 inch piece of white paper or card stock.

EDUCATION

Our website now features a complete teaching curriculum for educating children ages three and older in kidnap prevention. Please see our section heading WHAT TO TEACH YOUR CHILD. Everything an educator, parent, grandparent or guardian would need to teach a child about this important subject is neatly layed out in a simplistic form. Just read the sections pertaining to the appropriate age range of the child and begin teaching them.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION

Every child must know the three points to remember:

- Run away from strangers
- Don't talk to strangers
- Never get into a vehicle with a stranger

Please see our section heading IMPORTANT INFORMATION. This section contains vital information that every child should be taught.

STRANGERS

Children are usually taught at an early age not to talk to strangers. But they are also taugh that if they get lost, they should find a police officer for help. Isn't a police officer a stranger? Please see our section heading STRANGERS and discover the difference between strangers and "people in authority".

WARNING SIGNALS OF AN ABDUCTION

Understanding and recognizing the warning signals of an abduction is something every parent and educator needs to know. Please check out our sub-section heading SEVEN WARNING SIGNALS OF AN ABDUCTION under the section heading SURVIVAL SKILLS.

SURVIVAL SKILLS

Developing, understanding and implementing awareness skills is an important key in avoiding being a victim. Please check out our section heading SURVIVAL SKILLS and learn about such things as the special code, what to do when being followed or grabbed, being followed by a vehicle, avoid being a victim and much more.

PSYCHOLOGICAL ASPECTS

Check out our section heading PSYCHOLOGICAL ASPECTS. This section is constantly being updated with articles on a variety of topics. New articles are being added on a regular basis.
