| By Sean- Ok, Skies of Arcadia is an RPG for dreamcast, it features very good graphics at all times and has a strong storyline and attacking system. You are Vyse, the son of a Blue Rogue airpirate, the blue rogues are good and steal from the ruch and give to the poor(a robin hood idea). Your adventure will take you all over the world meeting many interesting people and getting you more involved in the storyline, at first you think you know what it is, then there is a total twist, shocked me. The fighting system for skies or arcadia is like any RPG, but in this game, you have spirit points, which alloy you to use special techniques you learn. There is also a very good erray of magics that can be learned and your weapon color is based on whatever you change it too, some colors counter the other, and some counter eachother. You either fight a normal hand to hand fight or you fight ship to ship, in which you use your ship to kill theirs. I think this game is great, its 2 discs long and has great graphics and a play system, one problem with it though i think is it took me about 48 hours to beat, rather short in my mind, but time flies when you are having fun. There are many discoveries you can make along the way as well as getting crew members for your boat you eventually get. The one drawback i would say is the game drains your VMU batteries, so i just put the VMU in to save and take it out afterwards. I give this game a 9 out of 10, i miss the length of the game like in final fantasy 8 or zelda ocarina of time, but i still highly reccomend you get this game. |
