 Final Fantasy 7 is another epic role playing game form Squaresoft. In this game you are Cloud. A gun for hire, arson specialist. You live in a city called Midgar. You take a job with a renegade rebellion squad to blow up the area 5 main core reactor. You want to rebel against the Shinira Corporation which is taking over the city and the world as you know it. This is a minor concern though, for when you escape from Midgar you begin to see that Shinira has other plans involving strange scientific expirements on humans and other oragnisms. Packed with action and high tension storyline you must discover the dark secrets behind Shinira's genetic "mutations" and then face the real evil. The evil that lies within. An epic storyline and exciting battle system makes this the best Final Fantasy Game ever seen and one of the best RPG's of our time. Great graphics and CGI cinema's compliment the already amazing storyline. You'll laugh, you'll cry, you'll kick some major ass and save the world. The battle system for this game is quite unique. Instead of collecting spells, such in FF8, or learning them astime passes and you get more experience, you collect gem-like objects called materia. Once you have a certain materia, you can equip it to a weapon. The most materia you can have equipped at one time is 8 pieces. This allows you to use the spell or summon infinite times, as long as you have the magic points. After a materia has enough AP it will up a ranking. This means that if you have a rating of one star the materia can only be used once a battle. If you have a four star rating, you can use it four times. The highest rating a materia can have is five. Once it has five stars and has been "mastered" it is reborn. You get another piece in your inventory, with a one star rating. Now you can have the same spell on two people. Materia's can be "re-born" an ifinite number of times. There is also rumored to be a secret materia exceeding the power of all else. Also, you can raise and breed creatures called Chocobo's. You can race them, ride them around the world, and even breeed special "types" that may help you find some insanely cool secrets. Be prepared for an intense adventure with an ending the will blow you away. I gave this game, on a scale of 1-10 stars, a perfect TEN. Videogames just don't get any better then this. |
