Chapter Three ~ Love Decides

After about three energy shakes, AndrAIa was joined by Matrix, who seemed to want to know what she had been thinking. "Enzo, I need you to answer me something. It's very important, okay." AndrAIa was nervous, but this certainly was important enough to ask. It would help, no, pretty much decide on her future. Their future. Matrix, sensing this as something to important to joke around on, nodded "I promise Andi." AndrAIa gave a final sigh before asking "Enzo, what would happen if I changed in a way?" Matrix gave her a confused look. "I mean, if I were to leave for a little while and came back looking a little different?" AndrAIa became scared when the possibilities came into her head. "AndrAIa, let's go for a little walk and talk about this." Matrix got up and then helped AndrAIa up. They exited the diner and zipped to the park. It was sunset by the time they got there and started their walk. "AndrAIa, I couldn't care less about what you looked like, I love you. I'll always love you. Why did you ask?" there was no anger in his voice, but AndrAIa could tell there was something that he didn't like about this. "Enzo, I don't have to do this, no matter how much I want to. This is something we both have to decide on." Matrix sat down on a bench to watch the sunset. AndrAIa sat down beside him. "AndrAIa, if this is about you and what you want to do, it's your decision, not mine." AndrAIa rested her head on his chest. "I know, but this change, it would be permanent. After it happened, there's no going back. If I take this chance, and you don't like it, then I'd delete inside. If I don't take it, then…well…I'd be considered weak from all of the others that would." Matrix put an arm around her waist. "As long as it's not dangerous, and you'd come back, I wouldn't care. But if you hurt yourself, then I'll never forgive myself for saying 'yes'." AndrAIa's snapped up. It was as though she'd been taken from a battlefield and placed into the most peaceful place on the Net. Matrix stood up and started walking on the grass. "When do you leave?" AndrAIa stood as well and followed him. "Tomorrow. And I'll only be gone for a cycle at most." Matrix turned to face her. "I'll right *sigh*, it's your decision." AndrAIa ran towards his and knocked him over, her lips on his. Their kiss lasted for what seemed microseconds. Matrix broke it. "But you'd better come back. That's all I have to say."

"I've made my decision, I'll do it." The game sprite smiled at AndrAIa. "I knew that you would make the right choice."

AndrAIa slept peacefully that night.

That morning, AndrAIa awoke to the warmth of her lover's body heat. His eyes were upon her face. "Morning Andi." AndrAIa sat up and stretched her arms. "Morning Matrix." He unexpectedly pulled her down to him. "Have you ever heard of something called frost Andi?" AndrAIa thought for a nano. "Nope. Why, what is it?" Matrix got off the bed and put on his black robe and handed AndrAIa her dark green one. She put it on and followed Matrix to the sliding glass door of their apartment. He opened the curtain to show a frost covered Mainframe. "Wow. It's weird. I've never seen anything like it before." She turned to face him. "How come this never happened in any of the systems we went to?" Matrix shrugged. He didn't know. AndrAIa put her hand on the door, but quickly pulled it back. "It's freezing!" Matrix chuckled and took her hand to warm it with his own two. "It's supposed to be Andi. And when you see frost, it's a sign that snow is coming. I'll tell you about it when it comes." He added, seeing the look on her face. Suddenly, a vid-window popped up. Phong was on it. "My children, we have a bit of a problem that perhaps you might help to solve." His eyes were fixed upon AndrAIa. "We'll be there in a nano Phong." Matrix told the old sprite and closed the window. "Let's see what's going on." said AndrAIa. Both her and Matrix dressed quickly and zipped to the principal office. Arriving, they saw at least fifteen CPUs. "Wonder what's happening?" AndrAIa asked. Her question was answered. "I believe that this a mis-understanding Dot. I do not think he is here to hurt anyone." Phong was voicing his opinion to Dot. "But we don't know that for sure. We need to take in all possibilities." Dot retorted. "Who is 'He'?" asked Matrix. Dot spun on her heel. "'He' is an unknown person who entered the system ten microseconds ago. 'He' doesn't speak our language though. But-" Phong interrupted her. "He was asking me when he arrived if I knew someone by the name of-" It was Dot's turn to interrupt. "How do you know Phong? You already said you can't understand him." "He said a name I recognized!" Phong had never yelled at Dot before. Phong rolled in the direction of where 'He' was.

Totally surrounded by binomes carrying large guns, a single sprite standing in the middle. Middle aged, orange colored skin, purple eyes, copper red hair, wearing burgundy colored robes. He didn't seem scared, or show any other emotion for that matter. He only looked around the room, as though looking for something. Matrix and AndrAIa had come to the front to see this strange sprite. The sprites eye's landed on AndrAIa, searching her. He finished his search and smiled. AndrAIa smiled back. Most everyone in the room saw this. "AndrAIa Zhemini, yi jach?" (AndrAIa Zhemini(pronounced with a soft J for the 'Zh'), I presume?)
