| Game Sprite Evolution By Trance Chapter Ten - A Mainframe Winter Matrix woke to find a snow covered Mainframe. He'd decided to go to the Principals Office. He'd have to walk in two and a half feet of snow though because zip-boards wouldn't work in winter. He dressed and went out to the living room. Enzo was still fast asleep on the couch, but he would be considering it was only 0645. He was slightly chilly, so Matrix decided it would be best if he put Enzo in his and AndrAIa's bed. After leaving Enzo a note telling him where he'd gone and to stay put, Matrix headed to the Principals Office. The roads couldn't be plowed because the trucks wouldn't start and school had of course been cancelled. 'Enzo's gonna like that' thought Matrix as he made his way up the steps into the Principals Office. Matrix walked to Dot's Office. She was sitting there with her head on the desk. When she heard Matrix moving she pulled her head up. He hair was a mess and she looked like she needed a cup of coffee. "Well good morning sunshine." Matrix seemed to think this was funny. Dot however, held a different opinion. "Well ha-ha-ha." She opened a drawer to her desk and took out a set of keys. "You know how to drive a snowmobile Matrix?" Matrix had been staring at a picture on Dot's wall. It was the one that had been taken in front of the Diner with everyone in it. "Yeah, You know I could drive anything sis." But his thoughts were on the picture still. Especially on AndrAIa. He missed her alot. But she'd be back. "Matrix!" Dot yelled. "Wha- sorry Dot. what were you saying?" Dot sighed. "I said that the snowmobiles in the Principal Office's garage number three. There's ten of then. You get the one in space six." Dot saw the expression on his face. She walked to him. "I know you miss her little bro. But Phong said she'd be back. And Phong doesn't lie." Matrix smiled. He knew she was going to be back. Matrix took the key and walked out to the garage after giving his sister a kiss on the cheek, to which she blushe! d. Matrix went to space five, mistaking it for six and saw a pink one. He almost had a heart attack. Then he saw his mistake and went to the one next it. It was black with a red streak on both sides. He grabbed the helmet and pushed the button to get the snowmobile outside. He pressed his icon and booted into a black jacket. He put the helmet on and seated himself on the snowmobile. He pulled up the red button on the right handle and pulled the starter cord out to start the machine. He sped out of the Principals Office to his apartment. As he passed floating point park he noticed that it was all one level. Phong must have lowered all of the levels the night before. He decided to have some fun before going home. When he was finished having his fun, he left. Matrix parked outside of the apartment and walked up to his door and pulled out his card key. He swiped it once through the lock and went in. Enzo was sitting on the couch watching the t.v. Enzo heard Matrix entering. "Hey! Enzo. Did you sleep well?" Enzo turned to Matrix. "Matrix, can I go outside now?" Matrix let a laugh pass through him. He figured that Enzo would want to go out sooner or later. "Okay, but dress warm or you'll get a cold." Enzo tapped his icon and booted into snowpants, heavy jacket, scarf, gloves and boots. "This good?" he asked. Matrix gave him a thumbs up. "You gonna come too Matrix?" Matrix shrugged his shoulders. "Come on, it'll be fun." Enzo springed off the couch and grabbed Martix's hand. "Pleeeeassse?" Matrix rolled his eyes. "Oh, all right. Let's go. Enzo led the way out of the apartment, Matrix following. Enzo spotted the snowmobile. "Whoa, alphanumeric. Who owns that?" Matrix hopped on to it. "The Principal Office. But I got it for now. Wanna ride?" Enzo dropped his mouth. "Do I? Of course I do!" Matrix patted the area behind him. "Grab the helmet out of the back and put it on." Matrix told him as he put on his own. Enzo put his own on (with a little help from M! atrix) and sat on the back. He grabbed Matrix's waist and held on while Matrix started up the engine and sped off. To be continued... |
