AndrAIa walked into the principal office and straight into Phong's office. "Ah, my child, you have finally returned." AndrAIa sat down as she had done before. "My child, I believe I have found the solution to your problem. However, it is you who will execute this solution. If you choose not to do this it will be your decision, and you will be the same as you always will be, the AndrAIa we all know and love. If you choose to do it, I do not believe anyone would think less of you, and you would still be the same person on the inside." AndrAIa let this sink in. "Phong, Would you treat me differently if I changed?" Phong waved his head 'no'. "How would Matrix react?" she asked, hoping he might know. "That, my child is something that he would have to answer. And if you're wondering, I do not know if Dot or Mouse or Bob or anyone else would treat you any different. But as I have already told you, I do not believe they would think any less of you."
AndrAIa walked out of the principal office after her talk with Phong. She found that Enzo was gone and decided to go back to the diner to get an energy shake. She wasn't hungry, but she knew if she didn't get some energy into herself soon, she'd be weak. It had happened before, and she'd been so weak she couldn't even walk. It was hard to talk, and worst of all, it had been raining that day and that rain was cold. She recalled it as though it had been yesterday.
A 1-7 hour old AndrAIa was straining to walk through the night-deserted city. She needed sleep and the only way to do that was to get back to the hotel that she and En- no, Matrix were staying in. She was still half way there, but still had one mile to cover. She tripped over a step she hadn't seen. She must have fallen down at least ten steps before laying down face up on the deserted street. She couldn't get up no matter how much she tried. She tried to yell, but found that her voice wouldn't speak above a whisper. She wasn't quite sure how long she was there, a few nanos or a millisecond. Then she heard her name being called. It was Matrix. Hearing him coming closer, her heart raced. Then his face appeared above her. Her eyes closed before he could find if she was still alive. "AndrAIa, come on baby. Please be okay." She wanted to do something to tell him that she was okay, but even breathing had become hard. She felt herself being picked up and brought the rest of! the way back to the hotel. During that time, AndrAIa had fallen unconscious.
She'd learned later from Matrix that after she'd slipped into unconsciousness, he'd given her the energy from his unfinished energy shake and kept her close to him when he put her in bed. He also hadn't slept that night out of worry that something would happen to her.
At last, she reached the end of her trip to Dot's Diner. She went inside and ordered an energy shake. While drinking it, she decided what she would do. She had until tomorrow to figure out what she would do. But asking a very important question would help her in her decision.
