| The card game in FFVIII seems easy but it's more complicated than you think. To get cards you defeat enemies and some give you cards. You can also use the "Card" ability that is learned with one of the GFs. How to Play-- Once you have 5 or more cards you can battle certain people by pressing the button. There are certain rules varied by where you are. Say Yes to challenge them. A object will be rolled to see who goes first. You are color blue. The challenger is red. You want to have more Blue cards at the end than the challenger's reds. On the board there are little symbols. If one of your cards has that same symbol, be sure to put it there to earn +1. There are 4 numbers in the corner of each card. Once a card is put down. A card with the higher number that is next to each other when put down gets flipped over to the opposite color. See figure 1 Figure 1-- _4_______5 3_2_____4_5 _4_______4 The second set of number's card would flip the other card to the opposite color. The player with the most of their color cards on the board at the end wins. At the end, the loser gives one of their cards to the other person. |
