| The two main shots your ferret should have are as follows: Canine Distemper- first shot at 8 weeks second shot 2-4 weeks afterwards yearly boosters Rabies- first shot at 3 months yearly boosters Canine distemper may not seem that important, because you're vaccinating a ferret, not a dog. Wrong. Ferrets are very succeptible to different disesases, and if a dog with distemper is around a ferret, the results are always fatal. The rabies shot is just as important, because if your pet was ever to get loose, and was exposed to rabies, there could be trouble. Always make sure your pet has the right booster shots every year, because you wouldn't want your furry friend getting sick! |
