This is a page created to help you make the right choices in ferret treats. Of course, there are store brand foods and treats, but there are people foods that can serve as treats as well. Below is a list and description of what kind of food you shold feed your pet as snacks or treats.

Dry Cereal- can be a good treat as long as you choose ones that don't have chocolate or large amounts of sugar. i sometimes give my ferrets rice crispies or cherios.

Raisins- are always a favorite with my guys, and thy are healthy too.

Ice cream- is Rocki's favorite thing to have, but he can only eat it once in a while. First of all, too much milk products can give your pet diarrhea, and secondly, beware again of chocolate. I like to give Rocki a small spoonful of vanilla, once or twice a year. He only gets it on special occasions.

Peanut butter- is another thing ferrets love! It is somewhat healthy, but should not be given in excessive amounts. I give my ferrets spoonfulls at a time.

Watermelon- make Zeus and Vir go bonkers. They like the sweet taste of it. Too much fiber though, can really mess up a ferret's syatem, so they should only get a bite or two.

Bananas- make the boys happy too. But as goes wit hany other treat, excessive amounts can make your pet very sick.
