You may not think that your ferret needs halp caring for its own teeth, but think twice. Just like a dog or a cat, ferrets occaisionally need their teeth checked. Dry food does a good job at preventing tartar build up, but still, check your pets teeth every once in a while. A young ferret should have bright white teeth, an older ferret, ivory colored teeth. Make sure to check for cavities in your ferret's teeth. They look almost identical to human cavities. Aslo look for chipped teeth. Although a small chip wont be much of a detriment to your ferret, a larger one will. Experts suggest that if the chip takes of 1/3 or more of your ferret's tooth, you should see a vet.
