| When people bring their pets to the vet, most of them don't know what to expect, therefore, many components of a normal check up are overlooked. This brief summary will tell you just what your vet should do when you bring your pet in for a check up. You ferret should have a yearly exam with vaccines. Your vet should offer you a wide variety of shots, but only Canine Distemper and Rabies are nescessary. Your vet should take your ferrets temperature, monitor its heartbeat, check its eyes, nose, etc. A vet will normally check your ferret's teeth also. That is about all that is required in an everyday vet check up. |
