| Ferrets can get along with your other pets if you gradually introduce them. Who knows, they may even become good friends. It might take some time, though, so you really don't want to leave the two animals unattended. Let the ferret and your other pet stay together for short periods of time at first. Do this until they seem totally comfortable around each other. My ferrets love to play with the cats, which I started by this method. I never really leave them completely unsupervised yet though. Introducing a ferret to another ferret is just as easy as the method above. Within a week I was able to have my new ferret with my older ferret, in the same cage. Ferrets are always suggested to be in pairs, because there is rarely a case of an only ferret, who is happy. |
