Have you been properly exercising your ferret??? A ferret should have AT LEAST four hours out of his/her cage every day. They sleep eighteen hours a day, but at random intervals. Since a ferret can readilly adapt to your schedule, there is no excuse for not having your ferret out of its cage every day. This is a good habit for your ferrets health, actually. In fact, it has been proven that ferrets whao are caged too much develop depression. They can get bored also, which could lead to overeating. So get your ferrets out of the cage for some play and exercise. They will be grateful!
