The Test Drive

NEW! Poetry and Doll Maker with Galleries!     [Learn About Our Ecommerce]

Welcome to the test drive,
We would like to start off with a John Deere 6910s which we have bought brand new off AIS.
It is 155 horse when it has been fully run in. at 6 cylinder this beast should pull just about anything. The top speed on it is supposed to be about 31.5 – 32.0 m.p.h but we have had over 35.0 m.p.h down hill! There are lots of different options and extras you can have on it like T.L.S (triple link suspension) which really makes a difference, but if you want these extra’s it will cost you for example, the T.L.S will put you down £2807 but it is worth splashing out. You don’t have to have a 6910s you can have just a simple 6910 but there is not much difference it is more or less that the 6910s has air brakes, hadland manigement sytem, a sprung loaded passanger seat, a seat warmer and a few other bits and pieces. The 6910s is a really smooth tractor and it is worth splashing out £53,543. They may not be the cheapest tractors but the are really one of the best!
Now we would like to move on to the fantastic New Holland TM135. Where shall we begin? At 140 horse power it is a pretty nice tractor but when you get the spanner to it and pump her up to 190 horese power it is a monster. It is quite a nice tractor with plenty of cab space and easy to drive. It has no gear stick just an up gear butto and a down gear button. It is a beast of a tractor and lovely looks we think this hero is worth having a look at.
Here we will take you to the max with the new case maxxum range,
More power, less power – Case has stretched maxxum tractor range in two directions with the new introduction of the new range topping MX150 and MX170 and the smaller MX80c, Mx90c and Mx100c models. Neatly straddling the existing maxxums 110hp, 110hp, 120hp and 135hp Maxxums, the new versions have now extanded the power band from 80hp through to 170hp. The the CX100 it means there are now three 100hp tractors in the range. Case is keen to point out that that tractors are not just about power, popular as the 100hp band is. It is , says the company , also about speficification, weight and the type of work expected from them.
Model Rated Power (hp)
MX170 - 170
MX150 - 150
MX135 - 135
MX120 - 120
MX110 - 110
MX100 - 100
MX100c - 100c
MX90c - 90
MX80c - 90
The good owd Valmets,
Valmets old M5s were simple tractors, well put together but handicapped by the shortage of gears. This showed up in the last 80hp-90hp multitest. Well, Valmet has become Vultra Valmet, and M5s have meta morphesed into the 100 series. A lot has changed – more ratios, a fresh cab, better lift capacity, lower emissions, a stronger back axle. Now the newcomers are up against simple models from bigger UK market players.
