About The Author
Eileen B. Turla was born in Portland, Oregon
on March 22, 1976. Her parents are Ernesto
Turla and Angela Bonifacio who were both
schoolteachers in Pampanga, Philippines.
She was proclaimed "Student of the Year" at Brown
Junior High, and was the president of her Junior
Class Organization at Hillsboro High School.
A member of the National Honor Society from grade
school until her graduation in high school, she
was active in sports as well. She was a cheerleader for
six years and a basketball player for a year.
She took up leadership training and was active
as a secretary of the Student Council. She was
included in Mayfete, wherein honor and TAG students
in a school were feted. Over the years, she has
been getting lots of awards including the
presidential fitness award. (In the Filipino
community in Portland, she got an achievement
award.) She was among the top 20 students in a
class of 450 when she graduated from Hillsboro
High School in 1994. In 1998, she graduated at
University of Puget Sound with a degree in business
and communication. She is planning to take up
her Master's degree soon. At present, she is
with First World Inc. where she has just been promoted
to marketing director, directing managers below her. -the webmaster
