About Me
I am a 72 year old female. Widowed in 1993. I was married for 43
years to a wonderful husband and father. I am 5'2", have salt and
pepper hair and hazel eyes. I live in Maryland but was born 2/16
in South Carolina. I have three married children, two sons,
1 daughter, 11 grandchildren and 6 great grand daughers. In
February, just before my 72nd birthday, I got pneumonia and almost
died. The Doctor discovers other medical problems and did many test.
He has determined that I have blood leakage around the heart valves
primarily from my age and years of High Blood Pressure. It is causing
me some problems particular with driving anything other than short
distances and putting a lot of pressure on my wonderful kids to take
care of Mom. I now have to use a walker, and darn it had to get a
handicap pass for vehicle. Hope I still have a few great years left
in me.
My Career
At age 45, after my children were raised, I attend Prince George's
Community College and took medical terminology and medical related
classes. My ATR teacher introduced me to my future boss. He was
an OB/GYN from India and had practice in Canada before coming here.
I began working for him in Dec. 1981 and we worked together,
learned together and I remained in his employment until I retired
in Dec. 1999. I worked as his personal secretary, physician
assistant, did his billing and was his office manager.
My Online Life
I play in 4 fantasy football leagues, play profootball trivia
and other sports trivia. I recently started a web page for
football fans. (fantasyfunffl) and spent time working on it..
Have been a maxpages voter for many years.
My Interests
I have a genuine interest in people and enjoy chatting with them.
I love football and the REDSKINS in particular. Love to read which included
a wide variety of subjects and love to write. Someday would like to write a
novel. Like to work crossword puzzles. Enjoy good movies, moonlight walks,
good music, candlelight dinners and snuggling in front of a cozy fire with
that special someone. My favorite vacation is to go on a cruise.
