| Chapter 5 The tear reopened and we all fell to the ground. "Ow! Man you're heavy Matrix!" Yelped Ray as Enzo landed flat on Ray's back, "Well you're lucky Ray. I nearly hit AndrAIa's triton!" Replied Mouse after she had dodged my extended triton so I'd be ready for anything. "Well still. Mine's worse!" "Is not!" "Is too!" "Ohh shut up!" Yelled Dot at the two of them, "you're acting totally basic here!" "She's right! We've no time to loose." Replied Bob and he helped Dot up. She brushed herself off and then stepped over Ray's mangled body still winded. We all got a hold of ourselves and managed to stand up. I'd never been in the Super Computer so it was all new to me. "Wow! It's changed a lot since we were here hasn't it suga?" Said Mouse as she looked around. "Yeah. Heaps." Replied Bob also taking a look around. "Well, where do we go? What happens now?" I asked curiously, "Well…. Ohh USER!!!!!" Screamed Dot. I swung around and saw her being lifted off the ground by a Guardian. Bob and Matrix were all over him in a flash. "Gun Command Line. Full Delete!" His eye flashed red and he fired his gun. It hit the Guardian in the head and energy flew every where as the Guardian, and Dot! Fell. "Ahhhhhhhh!" she screamed as she fell towards the ground. Bob was there to catch her and he did. They both fell to the ground. So too did the Guardian. "You ok sis?" Asked Enzo as he ran up to her and helped her back up and left the squished Bob on the ground. I giggled and went over and helped him up. "What in the net was he doing!?" She yelled. We all jumped as her tone of voice was startling. I laughed unexpectedly and that set everyone off. They all looked at me weirdly as I was almost rolling around in the dirt. "Um. Are you ok AndrAIa?" asked Enzo taking a step closer. "Yeah, I'm fi…." "Um hate to rain on this funny moment but I think we got a lot of company!!!!" Called out Ray. We swung around and found ourselves against at least 20 Guardians. Ray backed off slowly and everyone went straight into attack mode. Enzo drew his gun, Mouse drew her sword, Ray and Bob had their hands ready to throw particle beams, I drew my triton and Dot pulled out her own small gun. Then Turbo appeared. He walked towards us and we all loosened up a little. Bad choice. His hand drew out a gun and fired a shot at us. His troops followed him and all started firing. "RUN!!!!!!!!" Screamed Mouse as she sprinted towards the nearest building. We all did the same. We made it to a pile of metal crates and dove over them. "What happened to Turbo!?" I exclaimed as I ducked from incoming shots, "The virus must of won the fight. He's one of them now!" Yelled Enzo over the loud clanging noise of the weapons on the crates. They were getting closer. "Where's Ray!" screamed Mouse in sheer horror. I took a glance over the crate just in time to see Ray being hit by a shot and falling to the ground. He looked up at me and shook his head. Mouse looked over after seeing the shock on my face. "NOOOOOOOOO!!!!!" she screamed and began to leap over the crates. "Mouse NO!" yelled Bob and he and Enzo fought against Mouse to stop her practically committing suicide. "We gotta stop them!" She screamed "Let go! LET GO MATRIX!" She screamed and punched and kicked at him. "We gotta get out of here!" I yelled. "I know someone who lives near by! Maybe we can hide there!" Replied Bob and so we made a mad dash with Mouse still yelling. Enzo Grabbed her and ran with her under his arm. I heard Ray's last scream of pain as he was deleted. Chapter 6 We followed Bob to an old friends place on the out skirts of the Super Computer. "Well I'm happy as long as he's not a Guardian!" Said Dot extremely certain about what she had just said. "Umm.. He's a she. An ex-girlfriend actually." Replied Bob rather quietly to Dot. "Well, the plot thickens." Commented Mouse putting one hand on her hip and the other on her check with her mouth gaping open in sarcastic horror. Dot shot her an evil look and she pulled a face at Dot in return. "Come on! It's all in the past. We're just friends. Really Dot." Bob turned and looked her. "Do you really think I'm going to leave you for a convict?" "Ohh so she's a convict now eh?" "Well…" "Now now you two stop acting like babies." I said stepping in between Bob and Dot. We've got bigger problems then ex-girlfriends right now. We reached a ragged old house with peeled paint and broken windows. "Rather homey ain't it?" Said Mouse as she walked onto the porch. Bob walked up and knocked on the door. It opened a little and a gun barrel poked out. "Get Lost!" Yelled a voice that you knew right then you wouldn't want to mess with. "Umm. Kaela?" asked Bob moving out of the way of the gun. "How do you know my real name!?" She said with surprise in her tone of voice, and she opened the door fully reveling herself. She was a tall, slender sprite with dusty brown skin, light blue eyes and long rugged florescent orange hair. Sort of like Mouse's hair only not flickering. She wore a small black top with no straps, small black shorts and black knee high boots with white laces. She also had a tattoo on her stomach of the Guardian icon and a B in the middle. I guessed the B was for Bob. She also had a naval ring with a chain attached to it that went around her waist. She was about as tall as me. She looked the light blue sprite over. "Bob?! Holy User it is you!" She leaped onto him giving him a huge hug. Both Dot and Mouse eye balled her as they were both jealous. I took a glance over at Enzo to find him mouth open, gaping at her. I elbowed him in the stomach and he jumped in surprise. Then he blushed and turned away. "So what are you doing back in the Super Computer." Asked Kaela as she let us all in. "Wait a nano!" She pulled her gun out. "You aren’t infected are you! If you are I'll delete you right here. I'm not going with any Guardians!" She looked at each of us one by one. "No I'm not infected. That's what I'm here to stop." Bob lowered her gun. "Well what about muscles over here?!" She turned to Enzo and pointed her gun at him. I got ready to draw my triton, she swung over and pointed the gun at me. "Miss Feisty here is starting to get my backup!" She sneered at me and I returned the look. "AndrAIa! Please!" Pleaded Enzo, "Yeah AndrAIa. Don't make a move you'll regret." Said Kaela with a pathetic innocent look on her face. I didn't put my triton back. She moved closer and shoved the barrel in my stomach. Enzo came over and pulled the gun away. "You're problem isn't with AndrAIa. And no I'm not infected." Kaela turned around and began to walk away, "Fine. That's all I wanted to hear. Ohh yeah and keep that girl of yours away from me." My fist clenched and my nails extended. I was planning on deleting her when everyone gave me a 'Don't even think about it' look. I withdrew my nails and put my triton away. "So why are you here again?" Asked Kaela as she handed Dot a glass of water. "We need to stop Daemon from infecting Mainframe and the rest of the net." Replied Bob after taking a sip of coffee from his mug. "Ohh so that's were you went without a goodbye is it?" "Well yeah. I had to though. I was obligated." "Ahh well we can pick up where we left off then can't we." "Umm no actually Kaela." "What do you mean!?" She spun around and looked him in the eye. She turned around again towards Enzo, "Hey muscles! Here! Catch!" She threw Enzo a flask of something strong. "It's Matrix." "Ohh sorry, Matrix." She gave him a wink and my energy boiled. "Now. What were you saying?" She turned back to Bob, "Well we can't just pick up where we left off." "Why not?" "Because I've got Dot now." Dot breathed a sigh of relief. "Who's Dot? It isn't miss bright hair, and It definitely can't be Miss Feisty over there so is it you?" She pointed at Dot, "Yes." "Well then. Don't let me get in the way." She smiled and went back into the kitchen. "If you're planning on defeating Daemon you'll need all the help you can get. I've been planning on getting back at that virus for cycles! She infected Jumon." "She infected Jumon!?" Bob swung his head around and looked at her in disbelief. "Yeah. She's begun getting normal sprites onto her legion. That's why I'm out here instead of running my usual business." "Who's Jumon?" Asked Mouse raising an eyebrow. Bob turned to her, "Kaela's sister." "Ohh. Ok then." Bob turned back towards Kaela, "Well you can come if you want." "Thanks Bob." She turned to the rest of us, "You guys better turn in. tomorrow I'll take you to Daemon's lair." We all got up and she threw us all a bunch of blankets. "It gets real cold here at night. You might want to bunk up with someone. Throw yourselves down where ever you like." I saw Mouse lower her head. She looked back up and went and went into the spare room. Enzo and I stayed in the living room. I threw the sheets and a couple of blankets down on the hard concrete floor and the rest I gave to Enzo. I went and got a drink and came back to find Enzo already asleep on the floor. I sighed and laid down next to him. "What's wrong this time?" He asked as he rolled over just after I laid down. "Why don't you ask Kaela?" I replied bitterly. "Ohh. Come on AndrAIa. Don't do a me." "What do you mean?" "You're acting just like I did about you and the Surfer. Jealous." "So what!" I said angrily and rolled over. He put his arm around me and whispered in my ear, "I don't like Kaela. I was just a little shocked to find out that Bob went out with someone like her. And I still protected you. Didn't I?" I rolled back over, "Yes you did. I'm sorry Enzo." I hugged him and I rolled back over and went to bed. I woke up half way through the night and looked around. I saw that the light in the room Mouse was in was still on. I tried to get up but I realised Enzo had his arm over me. I then knew exactly how heavy he was and felt sorry for Ray. I managed to toss it off me and I got up and stretched. I walked into Mouse's room to find her sitting all curled up and still awake. I walked in and she turned and looked at me. Her eyes were clouded. I walked over and sat down beside her. "Don't worry Mouse. We'll get Daemon back for this. And we'll kill her, for Ray." She smiled at me and wiped her tears away, "You're right AndrAIa. Thanks. You know I thought I was the only person before Dot who really liked Bob. I wonder if she loves him as much as I do?" "Mouse." I took her hand, "You need to pull yourself together. That's what Bob would say. I'm sure he loves you too, only it's a different love. Just like Ray and me. I love Enzo with all my heart, but I loved and still do love Ray. Just not the same way." "You're right again. And to think, I'm a lot older then you really, and yet you have the knowledge of love like you've been around for a day." "Well Mouse. When you grow up with Enzo when he's as tough in the heart as a over cooked piece of steak, you learn these things." She laughed, "And don't you dear laugh about that near him. He'll probably think some thing is wrong with him after that first episode you put on. |
