SummerSlam starts off with "Let the Bodies Hit the Floor" by Drowning Pool video integrated with a highlight video. We go live from San Jose, CA and begin the night with Storm vs Edge. Storm kicks off his usual in-ring promo and is interrupted by Edge's intro.
Edge starts out on top and Storm is quickly outside of the ring. A couple of punches and they're both back inside.

Edge goes up top and hits a cross-body from the top rope. The tide quickly turns and Storm puts Edge outside and provides a beating for Edge. Back inside, Storm shows his technical expertise and begins to wear on Edge.

Storm almost gets the Boston Crab on Edge but it's a no-go. Christian is shown backstage with the trophy and several others rooting Edge on. Low blow by Storm. Pin....2-count. Abdominal stretch by Storm and Edge is looking to be in bad shape.Storm from the top rope, but Edge catches him and turns it into an impressive power slam. Edge now has the momentum. Pin....2-count. Storm off the ropes into a power bomb.

Storm with the 1/2 Boston Crab...Edge gets out and reverses the crab. Christian runs to ringside. Storm takes out Christian and gets a 2-count on Edge. DDT on Storm.

EDGE Wins

Backstage, Michael Cole interviews Test. Test states he didn't turn his back on WWF, but WWF turned on him.

Lillian Garcia interviews Y2J. Y2J states that this is his time to defeat Ryno. Talks about Stephanie's "First Time" with the football quarterback, foreign exchange student, etc. States Steph should be at home in the Silicone Valley.

APA & Spike make their way to the ring followed by Test then the Dudley Boyz. Dvon and Farooq start it off and it's pretty even. Test is tagged in and Bradshaw is tagged in as well. Buh Buh stops the Pile Driver by Bradshaw, now it's Dvon vs Spike. Inside cradle by Spike for a 2-count.Test drops a nasty Spine Buster on Spike. The Dudleyz bring out the table and Test attempts a press slam on Spike into the table. Spike falls on Test. Dvon misses the splash from the 2nd rope on Spike. Both men get to their corners.

Bradshaw vs Test now. Bradshaw owns Test and fends off the entire team. Farooq assists and APA clear the ring except for test and Bradshaw. Bradshaw with a 2-count. HUGE bump with Test throwing Spike through the Table. Shane Hits Bradshaw with a Chair and Test gets the pin.

Edge is congratulated by everyone backstage. Edge vs Matt Hardy announced for RAW tomorrow. E&C talk to Grandma on their cell phone.

Stasiac & Debra discuss his tights and Austin's match tonight against Angle. Debra tells Stasiac to shut up and kick butt to impress Austin.

Tajiri makes his way to the ring followed by X-pac and his horrid entrance theme. Starts out evenly with a couple high-flying moves by Tajiri. Paintbrush by Tajiri on X-pac. Series of shoulder blocks and a hurricarana by Tajiri. Springboard moonsault by Tajiri to the outside. X-pac puts Tajiri into the post.

X-Pac gains momentum and goes for Bronco Buster byt misses. Tajiri begins a series of devastating moves and finishes with the Tarantula. To the top rope. Cross body but reversed by Pac.

X-pac hits the XFactor. Series of rollups by both guys. Albert walks down the ramp. Red Myst into Albert's face. Tajiri turns and gets the XFactor.

X-PAC Wins

We go to WWF NY with Saturn. He's still looking for Moppy. He states he's in love with her and Moppy chants are heard. Moppy is on a milk carton now...oh lord.

Steph & Ryno are backstage. She talks about how she chose him to take out Y2J.

History between Ryno/Steph & Y2J footage is shown

Ryno makes his way to the ring followed by Y2J. The two square off and begin a grapple until Ryno takes the advantage. Y2J hits a few chops and hits an elbow from the top rope. 2 count. Walls of Jericho attempted but Ryno kicks out.

Steph disrupts Y2J on the top rope and both men are down outside. Both men make it back to the ring and Ryno takes the advantage. Ryno puts Y2J in the body scissors then Airplane Spin into a slam. Ryno with series of submission moves, a suplex, misses splash off top rope.Double clothes line and Y2J gains the advantage.

Y2J misses a springboard spot. Y2J on top rope and slips again...horrible. Y2J Back on top and hits drop kick. Steph grabs the ref. Y2J KISSES Stephanie!!! 2Lionsaults....2-count.

Ryno puts Y2J in the Walls of Jericho. Y2J gets out. Ryno misses the Gore. Walls of Jericho put on Ryno. Ryno taps out.

Y2J Wins

Regal and The Rock are backstage. Rock states he's pissed off at Booker T and hears the fans chanting the rock's name. "Do you Hear it?" "Do you feel it?" "Do you Smell it?" Stasiac runs at the Rock again and misses.

RVD makes his way to the ring first to a good pop followed by Jeff Hardy to an equal reaction. Series of quick takedowns and moves and the two square off once again. RVD misses drop kick and Jeff goes down stairs. RVD to the outside and Jeff with a HUGE Springboard to the outside. Jeff from the top rope...misses.

Both guys go after the ladder and Jeff gets it into the ring. Ohh....nasty move by Jeff...RVD straddling the ladder and Jeff does a springboard-type move on RVD/ladder. Springboard on RVD who was laying on the ladder. RVD puts Jeff in the corner and sets him up for a devastating sumersault-type maneuver.

RVD continues to abuse Jeff with the ladder and takes a toll himself. Baseball slide into the ladder to take RVD out. Jeff sets the ladder up in the ring. RVD takes him off the ladder from the top rope. Ladder on top of Jeff and splash by RVD. Both men are hurting. RVD on the ladder...Jeff with a drop kick on RVD from the top rope. Both men fall on the ladder. DDT by Jeff.

Jeff misses Swanton from top rope and RVD misses the 5-Star frog splash. Jeff climbs the ladder again and RVD does as well. Suplex from the TOP of the ladder!!! RVD chants throughout the arena. Both back on the ladder again. Sunset flip/powerbomb by Jeff on RVD from the TOP of the ladder!!! Jeff grabs the belt but RVD takes the ladder away. Jeff hangs and RVD swings him. RVD missed a kick from the top rope on a swinging Jeff. Jeff falls on RVD. RVD climbs the ladder again. Jeff gets up but RVD gets the belt.

RVD Wins

Shane & Booker T are backstage. Shane has a red box for Booker. Inside are bookends made from the announce table he put the Rock through.

Kane & Undertaker are shown walking in with Sara.

Footage is shown describing the events that led up to this matchup and when DDP was the "stalker".

Kanyon comes out first followed by DDP. Undertaker & Kane then come out to a huge pop with Sara. JR states that this is the last WWF PPV on DirecTV. Taker & Kane get into the ring and the door to the cage is locked.

DDP & kanyon try to go over the top from the beginning but both are brought back in. Taker/Kane have the advantage. No blood in the PPV yet, but expect to see some in this match. Sara isn't doing a lot outside but provides some nice eye candy. DDP gains the advantage on Taker. Both DDP & Kanyon are laid out in the middle of the ring. Kane throws kanyon over the top rope and into the cage.

Kaynon with the Choke Slam on Kanyon and Taker slams DDP over the rope. Taker smashes DDP into the cage several times and the crowd pops for the Bros. of Destruction. DDP & Kanyon get the advantage finally and both go for the top of the cage. Kanyon is upside down and Taker is Standing on top of the cage. Taker gets a chain from the top of the cage and throws it into the ring.Kanyon gets out and now DDP is getting brutalized inside the ring.

Taker chokes DDP with the chain and throws him into the cage. Taker told DDP to get out and live but slammed him while DDP was leaving. "Last Ride" on DDP.

Taker/Kane win

Rock is backstage & Stasiac misses once again (getting really old WWF). Rock says it takes more than a Bookend to keep him out of action.

Everyone backstage is shown getting ready for the WWF Title Match.

History on what led up to the match between Austin & Angle is shown.

Angle makes his way to the ring followed by "Stone Cold" Steve Austin. They have a brief staredown and meet midway along the ramp. It's a slugfest from the get-go. Austin throws Angle into the ring and the match "officially" begins. Angle and Austin continue to slug it out and Angle grabs the upper hand early but the advantage switches back and forth.

Austin begins working on Angle's leg and ankle. Suplex by Austin followed by another and a series of slaps and knees to the head. Angle referses a suplex and hits 3 belly-to-back suplexes of his own. 2 more suplexes for Angle on Austin and yet 2 more. Angle Slam attempted but Austin slides out.

Austin beats Angle on the top turnbuckle and hits a BIG Suplex from the top rope. Impressive "wrestling" by Austin tonight actually. Austin his the Stunner and gets a 2-count. ANother Stunner but Angle rolls out of the ring to buy some time. Angle into the ring post.

Angle is busted open and Austin puts him into the ring post again and once again. The continue to brawl outside and Angle is now covered in blood from his shoulders up. Now both are back into the ring. 2-count on Angle. Back outside. Angle puts Austin over the railing. Suplex by Austin on Angle onto the concrete. Angle is now pouring blood. Ankle lock on Austin by Angle outside. Back inside...ankel lock on AUstin again. Austin gets to the ropes.

Back outside Angle suplexes Austin and the two begin slugging it out. Another suplex by Angle. Back inside the ring now. Angle to the top rope and hits a HUGE Moonsault on Austin!!!. 2-Count. Austin puts a Cobra Clutch on Angle in the middle of the ring. Angle turns it into a pin and gets a 2-count. Kick, Stunner by Austin but only a 2-count!!

Angle Slam on Austin and both are down. 2-count on Austin. Austin takes the ref out and another comes in but Angle gets a 2-count. Austin give the new ref a Stunner. He gets the WWF Belt and a 3rd ref takes a belt to the head. Angle Slam on Austin. A WCW refs makes it to the ring and DQs Austin allowing him to retain the title. Angle puts the ref in the ankle lock.

Angle Wins

Heyman announces that "WWF Excess" will debut this Saturday night.

History between The Rock and Booker T is shown. They're really building the hype for this match.

We see both locker rooms and Booker T makes his way to the ring to a decent crowd reaction. He's escorted by Shane. The Rock comes out next and receives a HUGE pop from the crowd.

The Rock begins with a series of punches and chases Shane around the ring. Booker receives the Samoan Drop and the Rock has the advantage early on. Booker puts a knee into Rock and it's about even now. Cradle by Rock and gets a 2-count. Booker hits a big kick and gets a 2-count.

Both men are now outside and Booker begins to take it to Rock. Rock gets droped on the railing outside. They brawl in the crowd and Booker clotheslines Rock and drops him on the railing again. They're both back near the ring now and Booker puts Rock into the ringpost. We have a WCW ref for this match (Charles Robinson). Booker continues to brutalize Rock outside and finally puts him back into the ring.

Booker has a sleeper on Rock in the middle of the ring and Rock's hand drops twice only. Sharpshooter on Booker by Rock. Shane interferes and Booker gets the rope. Rock throws SHane to the mat. The match is really slow now. Rock catapults Booker into the turnbuckle. Shane puts a chair on the ring & Booker gets it. WHen the ref goes to Booker, Shane hits Rock with the belt. APA arrives and Bradshaw clotheslines Shane. Bookend on the Rock.

Rock recovers and gains the advantage rather quickly and hits a spinebuster. Time for the "people's elbow". Rock hits it but Shane interferes and we only get a 2-count. Rockbottom on Shane outside the ring. Booker sells the Rock's slaps in the corner. Booker turns on Rock and gains the advantage and hits the ax kick. Spinaroonie!!! Rockbottom on Booker.
