| A lot of people have asked me this question so I decided to write this page! This is what I think an affiliate is, I've no idea if this is right or wrong, but anyway... Affiliates are sites(in this context, though it might be used differently in other circumstances) that support each other-the owners' might be friends or they might help each other a lot by voting (quite common in most of the maxpages sites!) or in designing the site, etc. Affiliates could also be sites that contain further information on a topic shown on your website, and you and the owner have agreed to allow visitors to move between the two sites(eg a direct link from the Table of Contents-the visitor clicks on manga, for example, and is sent to the affiliate site to find this subject.)
