Mobile suits are man-like war machines( like a war-plane or tank). They are controlled by a human pilot from a cockpit inside the suit.They offer peple at war a chance to use very powerful weapons while offering some protection from the enemies's attack.
Most stand on two legs(they have arms and a head in a shape that resembles that of a human), but some can battle underwater(like a submarine, but with only one crew member and they are a lot more specialised), or in space.
There are many different models of mobile suits, each adapted to suit it's purpose.They were originally created to allow countries to defend themselves but they soon became widely used and, in the time our story is told, very few wars can be fought without using mobile suits.
Later a more advanced version of the mobile suit is created- the mobile doll
