Family: Foster parents-Foreign minister Darlian and his wife. Her real father was the ruler of the Sanc Kingdom-he was killed by Oz. All of the rest of the Peacecraft family were murdered as well-only the two children manage to get away-Relena, who was taken in by the Darlians and her brother Milliardo, who joined Oz under the alias of Zechs Merquise.

Mobile suit(s): Spoilt princesses, who have lived in the lap of luxury with no idea of what is going on in the real world, for all their life don’t usually pilot mobile suits-I’d love to say Relena is an exception, but she’s not!
Extra skills: Relena is very good at making up impromptu speeches and persuading people to discuss their differences instead of fighting over them.
She is very determined.
In-depth: Relena is the first person to meet the Gundam pilot Heero Yuy - she finds him washed up on a beach near her home. He threatens to kill her (not that he ever does!), but she still helps him out in every way she can-surprising him by telling him she’s on his side!
She meets all of the other Gundam pilots except Wufei in Gundam Wing, and gets them to realize that she can be trusted.
Relena believes that the only way to “true” peace is to refuse to fight at all-following the principles laid down by her pacifist father, the leader of the Sanc Kingdom. She comes up against a lot of obstacles along her path which sometimes make her doubt whether she is doing the right thing or not, but her determination wins through in the end.
Before the arrival of the Gundam pilots on earth, she had no idea what was going on around the world, so their arrival opened her eyes-she has to learn a lot in a very short time.
Relena doesn’t care if she dies to help the world attain peace ( a bit like the Gundam pilots if you think about it...), but her friends are stubbornly refusing to let anything happen to her.
Relena changes a lot throughout Gundam Wing-in the beginning she is a very weak character and she seeks out Heero trying to gain his strength.Gradually she becomes more confident in her own abilities and by the end of the Gundam Wing television series she is barely recognizable as the girl we met in the first episode.
A note on Relena ’s past: Relena’s real name is Relena Peacecraft and she is one of only two members of the family who survived, when Oz(still pretending to be nothing more than “special officers”) attacked the Sanc Kingdom and killed anyone who refused to obey them.
Relena finds out about this when her foster father-Foreign minister Darlian is murdered while on a trip to discuss peace with colony officials. Lady Une, on Trieze’s orders hurls a bomb into the room where the officials are talking. Some strangers appear and take Relena and her father. Before her father dies, he tells her that she is not really his daughter because he feels she needs to know who she really is.
Meaning of name: Just a nice name as far as I know-I don’t think it has a specific meaning!
