Extra skills: Wufei is equally good at fighting in his mobile suit and with his sword. He often seems to have a better idea of what is going on than the other Gundam pilots-like at the New Edwards Base, when he figures out Trieze’s plan.
In-depth: Wufei is well-known as the “justice freak”! in Gundam Wing.(though I don't think I've ever heard him say that..) He is strict with his enemies and even stricter with himself-when he loses to Trieze in a duel he says that he “has no right to pilot Nataku”, because he lost to someone stronger than himself. He refuses to battle in his mobile suit, until he realizes that he needs to fight to protect people weaker than him.
When everybody else is relaxing on the Peacemillion, he’s training! He is very serious about his mission, and determined to complete it at all costs.
He is well-known as having no respect for women at all(but i think he just feels they shouldn't battle in case they get hurt or die-like Meiran did) The only thing he respects is someone who can beat him in duel. Throughout most of the series he appears very unfeeling, but that doesn't mean his feelings aren't there -he cries when his colony is destroyed, and when he kills Trieze near the end of the series, because , even though destroying Trieze was his mission aim, he can’t believe that he won.
Later many people realize that Trieze and Zechs (who they believe is also dead) staged the huge battle to show everyone how terrible war was, and to make sure that nobody else made the same mistake in the future.
Wufei finds it hard to get away from the battlefield and live a normal live-in Endless Waltz he is the only Gundam pilot not to send his Gundam on a one-way journey into the sun(I think that's because it's in memory of his deceased wife, Meiran)He is also the only Gundam pilot that never tries to self-destruct-his wife died to protect him so he refuses to throw away the gift she gave him.
A note on Wufei ’s past: Wufei was married on his home colony ( arranged marriage) when he was fourteen. His wife, Meiran,died during a mobile suit battle,protecting him, so he decided to pilot his Gundam to earth and in her place.
Meaning of name: I think “Wu” means “one” in Chinese , but I’ll check up on it to make sure!
