Chapter 1

To some, it was a night of triumph. To others, it was a night of terror. To one, it was a night of confusion. In the depths of Midgar, a young woman was standing on the corner of a street selling flowers. She was innocent and kind. She was the bright spot of the city. Her long pink dress swayed in the wind. Her chestnut hair swayed as well. While standing she heard a noise. She looked and saw a huge blast from behind her erupt from nowhere. Everyone panicked and ran to their homes, but she waited. She was so confused that she had to stay and find the answer, regardless the danger. 1 man knocked her down. As she got up and cleaned herself up, she came across someone. She walked to him. "Excuse me. What happened?" The man looked at her with his dark blue eyes. "Nothing." "Tell me. I want to know." He looked into her green eyes. "It’s dangerous here. You should go." The girl nodded and walked away, still confused of what happened.

Days have passed and till no answer of the madness that happened that night. She walked to the abandonned Sector 5 Church. She tended her flower bed and her thoughts of the night vanished. While planting new yellow roses, she heard another noise and looked up. Something was falling towards the ground and she jumped out of the way. She hid behind a pew and waited until the smoke cleared. She walked towards her bed. Her flowers were ruined, but yet saved a life. She saw a young man lying on the ground unconsious. He had blonde hair and was wearing a blue outfit similar to the ones worn by SOLDIER. She ran to him and recognized him. It was the same man from the reactor explosion. He gradually opened his eyes. "Are you OK?" He looked at her. "This is a church in the Sector 5 slums. The flower bed must have broken your fall." He jumped from the ground. "Sorry about that." She laughed with joy, knowing he’s OK. "It’s OK. The flowers are quite resilent here because this is such a sacred place. They say you can’t grow flowers and grass in Midgar, but for some reason they have no trouble blooming here. I love it here." The door opens and a young woman rushed to the 2 people. "Is anyone hurt?" The man walked up to her. “We’re fine.” The young girl sighed in reflief. She had short brown hair with emerald eyes. She wore an orange tank top that came to her waist. Long blue pants covered her legs except for a few holes in the knees. "I was walking along, minding my own buisness, than suddenly, BAM! I ran to make sure no one was hurt. I can’t stand hurt people after what happened to my parents." The woman in pink walked to her. "What did happen?" The other girl turned around. "They died. A long time ago. I think I’ll go now." The flower girl looked at the man. "My name is Aeris." "Cloud."

Chapter 2

“Get me out of here. Take me home!” Cloud looked at Aeris. “OK. But it will cost you.” Aeris thought and smiled. “How about I go out with you once?” Cloud stepped back until he noticed a man at the front door. “That uniform.” 3 soldiers rushed in. “Hey Reno. Want him taken out?” “ I haven’t decided yet.” Aeris and Cloud ran to the back entrance. Reno walked across the flower bed. “They were Mako eyes.”

Cloud and Aeris ran until Reno and the soldiers followed. Cloud jumped across. Aeris leaped, but the soldiers fired and she fell to the ground. The soldiers attacked and Cloud tried to help. “HEY!” The woman from before stormed into the room. “LEAVE THEM ALONE!” Reno looked at her for a moment. “It’s been a long time Dreanon.” Aeris stopped and watched from below, Cloud from above, and the soldiers stopped as well. The woman stepped back. “Who are you? How did you know my name?” “I know everything about you. Your father died in a reactor explosion and your mother died of overwork in the Shinra Building. You had 1 good friend. A young boy actually.” Dreanon looked in horror. “How…how did you know that?” He smiled and luaghed. “I am that boy.” Dreanon stepped back. “Reno? Is that you? How did you recognize me so fast?” “I heard you talk to that Ancient. And you still wear the same style of clothing.” “I happen to like it thank you very much! But Reno, you’re a Turk?!” “I have been for a long time Dreanon. Our orders are to find the Ancient. We happened to find her here and I happened to find you. How long has it been Dreanon?” Dreanon grabed her crossbow. “You want to fight me?” “You’re not the Reno I used to know. You’re a low bastard of a Turk. You’re not my friend anymore. You never took orders from others, ESPECIALLY President Shinra. He was responsible for my parents’ death!” Reno shook his head. He then saw the soldiers watching them. “Don’t just stand there! Get back to work!” The soldiers came rushing at Aeris. “CLOUD! HELP!” Aeris was caught in a corner with the soldiers ready to attack. Cloud looked up and saw barrels. He ran to them and pushed one over. It killed one of the soldiers. Aeris tried to fight them and run, but they blocked her and attacked her. She fell to the ground weak. One soldier laughed as if he won until fell to the ground dead. Aeris looked and saw an arrow in the back of his head. The other soldier fell to the ground after another arrow went right between his eyes.

“Don’t worry Aeris! Run now! I’ll take care of the rest!” Dreanon brought down her crossbow while Aeris ran to Cloud. She stopped. “Cloud. We can’t leave Dreanon there to die. We have to stay and help.” Cloud watched from above and saw Reno and Dreanon fighting. Reno shocked her with his rod while Dreanon casted Ice on him. Reno casted Fire and Dreanon fell to the ground. “You shouldn’t mess with Reno and the Turks Dreanon.” “And you shouldn’t mess with me!” Dreanon lifted her foot and kicked him in the leg with her humungous black army boots and he fell to the ground. Dreanon pointed her crossbow at his head, full of rage. She then brought it down. “You’re lucky Reno. You’re lucky I’m not killing you. Just stay out of my way next time.” Dreanon ran up the church and noticed Cloud and Aeris waiting for her. The three-some left the church and ran to Aeris’s house in Sector 5.

Chapter 3

"They've been after you for so long?" Dreanon asked, kicking rocks while walking by her side. "Yes, for a long time. Because of the Shinra, my mother returned to the planet."
"Returned to the planet?"
"I'll explain later. We have to get to my house before he comes." They walked through the ruined slums until Aeris tripped.
"Are you OK?" Cloud asked. "I'm fine. Thank you." Dreanon ran to Aeris immediatly. "What happened?"
"I must have tripped or something. I'm OK."
"Good. We don't want you injured again. I'll go up ahead."
Dreanon ran trhough the slums, fighting a battle or two. Reno, it's been so long. I can't believe you're a Turk now. How could you join Shinra? Dreanon kept walking until she heard a noise behind her. She turned her head over her right shoulder and saw movements in the shadows. Before she could blink, she was on the ground, in front of a man holding a sword. Dreanon shrieked and he brought the sword down to her face.
"Greetings oh shrieking madan. Are you by chance the Ancient?"
"NO! Not Aeris!"
"Aeris? That's her name?"
"What do you want?"
"I've been searching the slums for her. At last I found her."
"Who the heck are you?"
"I am Matt Darren, 1st Class SOLDIER."
SOLDIER?! Isn't Cloud from SOLDIER? "I will not let you harm her!"
Dreanon raised her crossbow until...
