That they are too late. The sky glowed an evil red. Black clouds filled the forest. Spirit Woods was burnt to the ground, as well as the people there and Desert Bloom. Dead. All of Desert Bloom is dead. Carrie, Rain, and Kyle are the only ones left. "I guess that makes us the sole survivors, said Rain. They walked around the area. "This is horrible. Too horrible. Did Darkonel do this?" said Kyle. They walked around to see if they found anyone still alive, but no luck. "I’m afraid so," said Marco. Kyle then heard Carrie’s voice. "Kyle! Rain! Marco! Come quick!" They ran to where they heard Carrie and found her with a little girl, slightly burnt, but critically injured. "We have to do something!" shouted Rain, in panic. Carrie looked at the little girl. "What can we do?" Rain flew towards the girl and placed her hand on the little girl’s head. She closed her eyes and a golden light surrounded Rain. It then changed to blue, then purple, and then pink. Everyone watched Rain. They were all confused on what she was doing. A white light surrounded the girl and within a few minutes, the girl lifted herself off the ground. She had no burns and no injuries. Carrie looked at the little girl. "Rain, what did you do?" Rain explained. "It’s a basic sprite technique called Sprite’s Soul. Normally, it wouldn’t heal injuries. Just make you strong enough to survive. I don’t know why she got healed. It’s never happened before." Rain then crouched down to the girl. "By the way, what’s your name?" The girl stood up and looked into Rain’s eyes. "Tina Clearwater." "Are you OK?" said Carrie. Tina turned to Carrie and the others. "I’m fine now. Thank you. But...my father...I have to find my father!" Tina runs around. Carrie and the others follow her until Tina stopped and crouched down to a dead body. "Father? Father! NO! Father! You can’t be dead! You just can’t be!" "Rain, couldn’t your Sprites Soul bring him back?" said Kyle. Rain looked down. "The only way it could is if the sprite gives up their soul for the dead person. If I was to bring him back, I would have to give up my soul for his." "Oh. I guess that’s out of the question," said Marco. He looked at Tina, who has already burst into tears. "Father please. Don’t leave me alone. Please!"

Marco looked forwards into the forest and noticed a figure. "What is it?" said Carrie. "It’s a figure, in the trees. You guys stay here. I’ll check it out," said Marco. He begins to walk, but stops hearing Carrie. "You can’t go! You’ll die! What if it’s Darkonel?" Marco turned around at Carrie. "But what if it isn’t Darkonel? What if it’s another survivor or something? I’ll check it out." Marco walks to the figure, still in the shadows. The person walked towards him. "Marco?" Marco jumped. "Who are you?" "I’m surprised you don’t know me Marco. You should know me well." Marco stepped back a bit. "What?" Some of the black smoke cleared from the figure and a peek of sunlight appeared into the trees. Marco could now see the figure, who is in the middle of the light. He gasped. "Aletha? Aletha...is that you?!" Aletha looked at him in the eyes, but something was wrong. They weren’t normal. They glowed a color of black. "I’m pleased to see you again too, you no good traitor." Marco trembled a bit. "What are you talking about?" Aletha walked to him. "I have followed the right path. The path of evil. Evil is power and is the future. And I will not let anyone, not even my own older brother, stand in my way of making evil’s future become the present," Carrie, Rain, Kyle, and Tina ran to him. "Who are you? What are you doing here?" shouted Tina. Aletha glazed at her with her mysterious black eyes. "I am Aletha Ty. Messenger of Darkonel and magician of all time, space, and matter. Very soon this world will end. Evil will conquer the good." Carrie looked at Aletha, then at Marco. "Marco. Is she relative to you?" Marco looked Carrie. "Aletha...is my sister."

Aletha levitated into the air. Marco looked at her shocked. "Aletha. You’re working for Darkonel?! This can’t be! We’re trying to kill him!" "I know, and I am here to eliminate you all! Nothing will stand in the way of evil." Aletha raised a whip from behind her back. She whips the ground and causes a mighty earthquake. Carrie and the others fall to the ground. "You will never live to see another good day, but yet an evil day." Rain looked up and saw Aletha’s whip fly towards her. She had no time to react and the whip was wrapped around her neck. She couldn’t breath. "I’ll start with this sprite Darkonel is so interested in." Her other hand rose into the air. A blue-black mist swirled into her hand. Aletha threw it down the mist lunged at Rain. Aletha began to laugh until something struck her casting arm. She noticed an arrow is in her arm. Another arrow lunged at the whip and it broke. Rain fell to the ground. "Who’s there? Who shot that arrow?" shouted Aletha. "I am Tina Clearwater. And I know what you’re up to." Aletha looked at Tina, full of rage. "Ugh. You don’t know who you’re dealing with, do you?" "I don’t know, and I don’t care. But it was you who burnt this forest, as well as my friends and family! I won’t tolerate this!" Aletha becomes furious. She then controls herself. "Fine. I have other ways of getting what I want." Aletha vanishes into thin air. Marco watches Aletha vanish. "Aletha, is evil? What has Darkonel done to her?!" "I don’t mean to interrupt, but I was wondering, can I help you guys?" said Tina. Carrie looked at her. "Of course. We’ll need all the help we can get." Kyle notices a road. "You guys! A road. Do you think it will lead out of this forest?" "Maybe. We better follow it. It might lead us to where Darkonel and Aletha will strike next," said Carrie. Everyone agrees and follows the road out of the forest and into a town.
