Carrie, Kyle, Marco stopped suddenly to hear a cry. It was cry like it was hurt. Physically or emotionally. Carrie ran to where it was heard the loudest and saw someone sitting on a high branch on a tree in front of her. "Excuse me. Are you hurt?" said Carrie. The person lifted its head and looked at her. It was a young girl. Her eyes were filled with tears. "What do you want?" shouted the girl. Carrie stepped back a bit. "I heard you crying and wanted to know what it was coming from. Are you hurt?" The young girl looked at Carrie sharply. "If you must know, then yes, I am hurt. I am lonely. No one cares for me or wants me around. I try to fit in, but I am still excluded. I ran away to find my friend, but still, I am lonely.” Carrie looked down. "Aw man. I’m good at these kinds of situations." Kyle walked up to Carrie. "It’s OK Carrie. Let me handle this." Kyle looked at the girl. "Maybe we can help you. Come down from there and maybe you can help us." The girl looked at him and smiled. She stood up from the branch and walked off. Shiny, silver blue wings sprouted from her back and she flew to them. Carrie looked at her all shocked. "Wha...what is this?" The young girl touched the ground. "I can see you noticed why no one wants me. I am a sprite. I am the only one left. Everyone excludes me because my kind." Carrie gasped and stepped back a bit more. "You’re a sprite?! I thought they weren’t real!" The young sprite looked at her. "So you never believed in my kind. Sprites were real only in stories, legends, and fantasies. But where did it all start? Where did the word ‘sprite’ come from? They had to come from somewhere, so people saw our kind and used them to entertain others. Everyone must have thought sprites were a mere fantasy, since we lived secluded from humans. We lived in peace, and only knew laughter, love, and freedom. But then some evil force came into the sprite kingdom. My family, friends, and allies all suffered and died. I only survived because I ran off and hid. I searched the world for others like me, but it seems as if I am the sole survivor." Marco looked confused. "If you are the only sprite left, then how come people excluded you? Could they have not seen the true you like we are right now?" The sprite looked at him. "No. They knew I was a special person, but when I told them I was a sprite, they laughed at me. Probably because they believed that they weren’t real and I wanted to be one. None of them trusted or believed me. Just like you." She pointed at Carrie. "I too believed the legends and stories. I never knew sprites were real. I’m sorry." The young sprite smiled at her. "Oh, please forgive me. I forgot to introduce myself. My name is Rain." Carrie looked at Kyle and Marco, then back at Rain. "OK, Rain..." She introduces Kyle and Marco to Rain, then herself. "Kyle and I were sent from Desert Bloom to find and protect you. Marco just joined us." Rain turned around and looks down. "Please Carrie. I...I can’t go back to Desert Bloom." Marco walked up and looked at Rain. "I understand. Now, Carrie, Kyle, Rain. I have helped you, now you must help me. I must find my sister." Carrie turned to Marco. "Of course." "I don’t mean to interrupt, but, how long have you guys been looking for me?" asked Rain. "I think, about 7 days," said Kyle. Carrie gasps. Her eyes become big. "7 days?! Desert Bloom is going to Spirit Woods and I’m supposed to go!" "I forgot about that!" said Kyle. Carrie runs off a bit. "We have to get to Spirit Woods quick!"

The 4 ran out of the Starlight Forest. They were about 1 mile from Spirit Woods until Rain felt an evil wind present. "Something is wrong here. I feel an evil presence. It’s coming from the woods." They began to walk slowly towards the woods until they heard an evil laugh. They ran back when they saw a bright blue flash in front of them. They looked forward and saw a person. Rain began to tremble. "Uh...uh...It looks like...a wizard!" Rain closed her eyes and gold dust flew into the air and Rain was as tiny as a human eye. "Ha ha ha...A sprite? So, I have found you at last," laughed the wizard. Carrie walked up to the wizard. "Who are you?" The wizard looked up. His eyes glowed a deep red. "I am the evil force known in history. I am the wizard who followed the evil ways. I am the reason why Desert Bloom exists." "How did you know about Desert Bloom?!" shouted Kyle. The wizard looked at him. "I know everything in this world, Kyle. I am known as the Evil Wizard, but my true name ...Darkonel." "So YOU’RE the force that is creating havoc here!" shouted Marco. "Hmmm…exactly. Desert Bloom should be near. It is time for their end as well as yours and the woods’," laughed Darkonel. Another bright blue flash and he disappeared. Rain popped out from behind Marco and returned to normal size. "Found me at last? What does he want from me?" said Rain, almost in tears. "Desert Bloom, Spirit Woods, the people there. We have to get there FAST!" said Carrie. They ran to the Spirit Woods, only to find…
