Midgar: Where you start off in the game. It is also where the Shinra Inc. is located.

Junon: Another city where the Shinra Inc. is located.

City of the Ancients: Where Aeris dies.

Nibelheim: Where Cloud and Tifa grew up. It is also where Hojo, Lucrecia, and Proffesor Gast worked on the JENOVA project. You get Vincent there too.

Icicle Inn: Where Aeris was from.

Cosmo Canyon: Where Red XIII is from and where you learn about the Lifestream.

Rocket Town: Where Cid Highwind is from.

Gold Saucer: Where Cait Sith is from. Where you can get useful items, materia, etc. Where you fight Ruby Weapon.

Corel: Where Barret is from.

Temple of the Ancients: Where the Black Materia is held.

Mideel: Lifestream erupts from the ground here. This is also where ou find Cloud in Disc 2.

Lucrecia's Waterfall: Where you meet Lucrecia and you see Vincent's past as a Turk.

Chocobo Farm: Where you can find anything out on chocobos.

Underwater Reactor: Where one of the Huge materia is held.

Kalm: Where Cloud tells the story with him and Sepiroth 5 years ago at Nibelheim.

Wutai: Where Yuffie is from. It is also where Don Corneo dies.

Chocobo Sgae: Where you learn how to breed chocobos.

Mythril Mine: Where you meet Elena for the first time.

Fort Condor: The Shinra attack here to get materia from the reactor. The people here try to protect the condors.

Northern Crater: This is where you fight Sephiroth in Disc 3. This is also where the JENOVA Reunion is held and where Weapon came from.
