These are my color descriptions, made just for you. Now, don't you feel special?
PINTO: Pinto coloring is black or brown,(sometimes both) irregular patches. They look like the horse (with a white base) has been splattered with paint. There are two kind off pintos: Skewbald and piebald. Piebald is black splotches and skew bald is brown patches. A great thing to remember the difference is to remember: "ten and twenty BLACK birds baked in a PIE" That always works for me.
BLACK: This is pretty basic: A black coat, most horses also have white socks and other markings.
DUN: Yellowish, sandy coat with a black mane and tail. Sometimes the horse has a dorsal stripe(a black stripe going down it's back.)
RED-DUN: Yellow-reddish coat, with almost a flesh colored tone. Mane and tail usually darker. Some horses same color mane and black tail.
GRULLO: Solid mouse color. (Not black and white mixed, but actual mouse grey) mane, tail and legs black.
GREY: Black skin with white hair, sometimes with greyer hair in with them. No matter how white a horse is, it is always called grey. The only true white horses are albinos.
DAPPLE GREY: Dark grey hairs form rings on a grey base.(for definition of grey, see above.)
FLEABITTEN GREY: Brown/balck specks of hair flecked over an otherwise grey coat.
CHESTNUT: Various shades of golden and golden red, with the same shade mane and tail or darker.
LIVER-CHESTNUT: The darkest of the chestnuts, looks like a brown.
BAY: Reddish-brown coat with black mane, tail and points. (points are black legs, ect.)
